People are just people. Americans that were born here know no issues of what you speak of. we don't know what you go through so we don't understand we've never experienced that type of hardship. I know by what I see that most immigrants are far from lazy because they come and make this nation what it is. Most do jobs that Americans think they are too good for but if it wasn't for the immigrants WHAT WOULD AMERICA BE? Don't be mad because whether they come illegally or legally they come and accomplish their goals, work hard support their families and end up with businesses where as some Americans just make excuses for their sorry a.s.s lives and die not having anything to show for it.
And I'm an American born and raised, people are real stupid for saying go to your country and make it free like America if it was that Fu_cken easy I'm pretty sure they would no one wants to be in an unfamiliar place where most people harass them for just breathing and trying to live. All countries have a Government and the country lives as the government says hello people open Ur fu_ckn minds DUH!!!! its common sense!

My wife and her family all immigrated legally from Italy, my best friend from Korea, two professors from China, the guy that sits beside me at work from Iran, and an ex girlfriend from Colombia. If all of these people can come here legally and become citizens why can't the people you're talking about do the same? Why the hell does Vincente Fox teach people how to sneak into this country? Why do Mexicans feel the right to protest for rights that they don't deserve because they are not citizens? Why the hell should my tax dollars go to medical bills for people that don't pay taxes? I have no problem with people coming over here and becoming citizens, I welcome, that is what makes America, they just need to do it legally and quit complaining about this country and go back if you disagree with the policy. By the way learn the ******* language no body learned Italian for my in laws!

You don't have the money to pay the fines to come here legally, but you have the money to pay the coyotes that bring you here illegally??? Yeah, right! So, it takes awhile, what makes you think American citizenship is something we OWE you?? We don't owe you faster, cheaper anything, much less citizenship. We could stop allowing ALL immigration and that is our right as a sovereign nation. If all these millions of illegals here would go home and use all the energy they put into breaking into our country and hiding here into making Mexico better...might have some place worth living in south of that damned border.

A reality is that unregulated borders would assist in the collapse of the country, and our standard of living. In times past, there was an ability to absorb and a need for immigrants that were unskilled. We are beyond that threshold today for a variety of reasons. Untold numbers of potential immigrants were turned away at Ellis island for reasons that were less sound than are being given today. I work with recent immigrants from around the world, and the one thing we all have in common is that we are, right now, able to add value to the country and it's economy. It's probably not the doctors, engineers, and architects that are trying to sneak across the border.

We subsidize education and other services for the poor, and we have a right to say how many we are willing to subsidize from other countries. The Los Angeles school system is a perfect example of what happens to schools where there are subsidized services and an unrestricted (to all practical effect) immigration of non-English speaking children.
Coming without being part of the legal quota we are willing to support is stealing money from us and education from our children.
They don't EVER have a right to come. It is a privilege we grant according to the needs of this country. Even when the poor pay all taxes they are subsidized. All countries who subsidize the poor limit poor immigrants. Illegal immigrants think we should pay for them too, and we disagree.

Unfortunately, as much as I sympathize with the dilemma of the undocumented guest in the United States, they (you) are ignoring many issues. With the undocumented guest there is a large faction of blatant lawlessness. That lawlessness comes in many form. Part of it is the mentality of being here illegally. Part of it is pandering to business who refuse to abide by the rules of the US. Part of it come with the small percentage who are themselves criminals and enter along the same routes. They (you) are also coming here and driving wages down for jobs that our own citizens DO want and CAN/WILL do with the right incentives. Also, the problem is not with the United States, the problem is with your own governments. You (they) need to address the problems in their (your) own nation, and fix the causes for the mass migration to the US. If you want to address what is wrong in your nation, and you need time to build some kind of resistance force, then maybe we would be willing to help, but the dash and grab that you are doing here is not good for the US and it is not good in the long run for your own nation. Deal with the problems where you come from, you can do it if you organize and mobilize. Nothing is impossible if you have the will to do it. We know damn well that you are NOT lazy because we can see what you do here. You CAN fix your own problems in your own nation.

I can't talk about the US policy on immigration, but Australias policy of locking families up for 2,3,4 or more years behind barbed wire in the desert is a brutal treatment of those who, when it all boils down, have done nothing wrong other than be born in a country that offers limited opportunities at best, as well as poverty, ill health and persecution. Seeing small children in cages for years on end is not only torturous for them, but it hurts me to see them in such a position. Unfortunately, the greed of most in Australia agree with the Governments policy because they cannot see beyond their own good fortune. It's a sad time for us all.

Migrants serve a need of a nation's labour problem at one time. that time has passed. It is now time to be selective and countries nowadays attract wealthy or skilled workers in preference to the economic poor and the unskilled migrants - what is so wrong with that?
If America believes it is time to be selective then enact immigration laws to stem the tide of the unchecked immigration - legal or otherwise. There will always be the poor at America's backyard - tough... that's life!

It is hard to adopt in this country so what.
If you want something bad enough you will do it and most do it the right way.
Life is not easy for many here-why should theirs be harder because of other people coming here who don't belong and use our resources -schools. health and ect
Others do it-so why should we cater to them.
My standard of living is effected by this and I have to work hard. And I don't feel I should have to suffer so someone else can make a better life for their self when they can do that there.
Why are you so ignorant that everyone should have to suffer for another country who needs to take care of themselves.
And there is no more room-we are overcrowded now-they have plenty of room-fix it up.
And I say no one should come in at all until we fix our own problems.
