I think America should be primarily American. Which is to say that I think people who make the free choice to come here to live should learn our language and culture. Granted, the society adapts as more people of a certain culture come in, it is supposed to be gradual. Of course, that is one benefit of legal immigration rates under a sensible program.
'White' isn't my issue.

Absolutely not! But the immigration into this country should be a slow and steady stream so that those who enter will have time and desire to assimilate. Also, 70% of illegal invaders are from MEXICO. This is contrary to our immigration policy. We want people (of all skin colors) from all countries of the world (except those which have been deemed enemies.)

People are making it sound as if everyone against illegal immigration are rasist. Which is not true.
American is a melting pot. People from all different races are and should be welcomed. But when we have People want to kill us because we are Americsn it gets harder. I want to feel safe at home. Whites, blacks, latino, asian. Who cares.
We all bleed the same. Do the same bodly functions. Why are we different by skin. We eat, breath and sh^t the same.

America shouldn't care about being primarily one color. The US is all about "liberty and justice for all". That doesn't say "for whites" or anything else. All. Everyone. Free to be whatever color they happen to be.

Humans are 99.6% similar so race shouldn't even be a factor. To bad some ignorant people ( like the idiot with the confederate flag who also answered this question) cant see it that way.

I think we should be just like Mexico, Venesuela, or Peru. Exactly like them with the same kind of people creating the same kind of society. I think our culture and economics ought to be identical.
I think our medical system ought to mirror South Africa , though. Our moral code should be the same as Sierra Leon's or Somalia's.
