We get everyone out of the Country that wants to leave ( after telling them we are going to bomb every square inch). We get them out and do exactly that. (Not nuclear or Atomic, and after bombing we send in enough coalition troops to cover every mile of land and kill anyone still standing). It sounds cruel, but if they are still there, so be it. THEN, we help them build a democratic society? How about it?

HAZLETON, Pa. - With tensions rising and the police department and municipal budget stretched thin, Hazleton is about to embark on one of the toughest crackdowns on illegal immigrants anywhere in the United States.

Last week the mayor of this former coal town introduced, and the City Council tentatively approved, a measure that would revoke the business licenses of companies that employ illegal immigrants; impose $1,000 fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants; and make English the official language of the city.

"Illegal immigrants are destroying the city," said Mayor Lou Barletta, a Republican. "I don't want them here, period."

I think the US government should have some sort of charity that helps the couple or woman know her choices, and open up adoption, health care, and support and homes just in case they are raped and turned out of their family. I believe if there was more of these support groups rather than things like Planned Parenthood (I think they help you get an abortion, am I right?) I think there would be less lives lost. If we can't make it illegal with peace, we can at least peacefully talk people out of it, because not everyone believes it is wrong, but they do want peace and comfort. So what would be the best way to help young mothers who are abused or just don't want the child and still save the unborn baby?

My brother seems to believe that the fraud and such committed by illegal immigrants justifies murdering them; he also goes on to say that you cannot be prosecuted for murdering an illegal immigrant because they are not a citizen of this country. I personally believe there's something wrong with his head.

But then that begs the question: can you be prosecuted for it? Explain why and under what law if you can.

Prepared to send the children of other people to die for their causes. Pres Bush snr. a decorated war hero knew the consequencies of war. He was able to mitigate the loss of American lives during Gulf War 1. The present administration to a man and woman did all they could to avoid fighting for America. The supporters of this and all future wars will cower under their blankets if they were drafted to fight for America, so why are they so blood thirsty?

Much is known about the psychology of negotiating and power. The West has many trained professionals to deal with issues before they become crises. My concern is that war is a money-maker and that there is little concern to avoid it. Rather, government leaders wish to provoke wars for money and power. What can citizens do to stop or at least mitigate this tendency?

Iraq resistance forces capture people and behead them. We court martial troops for making them walk around naked, or killing one that's trying to kill our soldiers. Does anyone besides me think this is B ull S hit? They ( Iraq resistance) have to feel like they can do whatever they want and not worry because our troops have to treat them with compassion. I say: LET OUR TROOPS DO THEIR JOBS!!! I would love to hear how some of you feel about this.

Since N. Korea is the most evil country on earth, brutal and ruthless dictatorship, corrupt, starving their people, growing heroin instead of food for their people, has a million man army (the only ones being fed), AND is known to have weapons of mass destruction that has missles pointed right in our direction....
why are we at war with Iraq and not them? Is it because they don't have anything we need?

Do you believe that ex felons can be just as productive as employees without criminal backgrounds but do not get the chance because of the simple question on the application for the job. If given a chance reformed felons can be valuable assets to any company. There are programs to help ease companies fears for giving a felon a chance at employment, but there are not many companies that will even consider people like us. If anyone knows of assistance that will help us here in Southwest GA please do tell. Why is this not a form of discrimination? I have paid my debt to society but yet and still have not been given a chance to prove that I can be an asset to society and not just an ex convicted felon. Is this ethical for the government to convict us, we pay our debt, but still treated as if we were still not worthy. If God gives 2nd chances why can not the people who convicted us and say we serve our time give us a 2nd chance?

What's with all the people who stupidly cheer when the minimum raise goes up? Are they really so ignorant as to think it's "free money?"

When you raise the minimum wage, every company in the U.S. raises their prices to cover the extra employee costs that the government has forced on them. Everything you buy goes up in cost. So all you're doing with a minimum wage increase is artificially inflating prices. Minimum wage was never meant to support a family. It is merely a starting point for entry-level employees.

The funniest example I can give for this was when I managed a store in a mall. The day the minimum wage increase went into effect, a female employee of mine was rejoicing. When I tried to explain why it was a bad thing, she didn't get it. Then she went to lunch. She came back all angry that Chick-Fil-A had raised the price of every menu item between 25 and 30 cents. I laughed and explained it to her again. Her response? "That's not fair!" The blind finally saw.

1 of many! "death in battle was not the most decimating factor for the native tribes. Writes Ian K. Steele: "The most potent weapon in the invasion of North America was not the gun, the horse, the Bible, or European 'civilization.' It was pestilence." Concerning the effect of Old World diseases Patrica Nelson Limerick, a professor of history, wrote: "When carried to the New World, these same diseases [to which Europeans had had centuries to develop immunity]-chicken pox, measles, influenza, malaria, yellow fever, typhus, tuberculosis, and, above all, smallpox-met little resistance. Mortality rates in village after village ran as high as 80 or 90 percent."

Russell Freedman describes an epidemic of smallpox that struck in 1837. "The Mandans were the first to be stricken, followed in swift succession by the Hidatsas, the Assiniboins, the Arikaras, the Sioux, and the Blackfeet." The Mandans were almost completely liquidated. From a population of some 1,600 in 1834 to 130

Is the common soldier ultimately to blame for ALL wars? In the words of the song " Universal soldier"
He's five foot-two, and he's six feet-four,
He fights with missiles and with spears.
He's all of thirty-one, and he's only seventeen,
Been a soldier for a thousand years.

He'a a Catholic, a Hindu, an Atheist, a Jain,
A Buddhist and a Baptist and a Jew.
And he knows he shouldn't kill,
And he knows he always will,
Kill you for me my friend and me for you.

And he's fighting for Canada,
He's fighting for France,
He's fighting for the USA,
And he's fighting for the Russians,
And he's fighting for Japan,
And he thinks we'll put an end to war this way.

And he's fighting for Democracy,
He's fighting for the Reds,
He says it's for the peace of all.
He's the one who must decide,
Who's to live and who's to die,
And he never sees the writing on the wall.

But without him,
How would Hitler have condemned him at Dachau?
Without him Caesar would have stood alone,
He's the one who gives his body
As a weapon of the war,
And without him all this killing can't go on.

He's the Universal Soldier and he really is to blame,
His orders come from far away no more,
They come from here and there and you and me,
And brothers can't you see,
This is not the way we put the end to war.

I don't understand why political parties exsist, i realize that it prevents dictatorship of one party like in mexico( which is pretty much a dictator ship because there is only one dominant party, and the outgoing president gets to choose who runs as the next president for his party), but doesn't it do more harm than it does good, because if all the candidates were independent than there would not be feuding between parties and they government would be much more effective because the politicians would not try and press there veiws and attack the other side making congress take much longer than it should to pass bills and such. Why does the US have to have political parties because if there was no such thing as republican or demcrat than the govenrment would be more effective.
