Looks like I am not the first person to ask this question. Keep the answers short, please. Since Mexico has all the natural resources of Califonia, why is it that so many people come here to prosper, and have to leave Mexico. It seems a shame that it happens.

Sure, they have the resources, but not the economy to make it worthwhile! Would you rather pick fruit for maybe 2 or 3 dollars an hour maximum (varies upon location in Mexico) or at LEAST $5.15 an hour, maybe more, in the US? I think I'd go where I could make more? Plus the US is often played up to have these miraculous ways of getting wealthy and what not.
People shouldn't be in such a hurry to attack the Mexicans anyway. They are actually very decent, hardworking people that can make very good friends and neighbors when people give them the chance. But too many people nowadays are quick to just label them "a foreigner" and not care. Their ancestors didn't like that years/decades/centuries ago, so why should it be done today? It's a shame that happens too.

Most of the wealth is in the hands of very few people, and those people don't share.
Every outgoing president has made it a tradition to steal as much money as possible from the government coffers, it'll be interesting to see what Fox's take is when he's out of office next month.
I'm not an economist, so I can't explain why very well, but most people work 6 days a week, sometimes 10-12 hours a day just to make ends meet. It's easier for a Mexican to make more money here in the USA cleaning bathrooms in McDonald's than working a "white collar" job in Mexico.
Quite a few countries have this trouble... a friend of mine from Ecuador, who lives in Florida, was a banker in his country, and he didn't make jack. Now he delivers pizza and makes a lot more money even though that's hardly considered a professional job.

the country, the subculture and the actually everyone appears very reliable, for the most area....although the authorities.is corrupt and has been this manner for generations.....the individuals don't have any administration over its authorities, which isn't the sum of its human beings....no longer in reality do the overall worker no longer prefer to stay there, although the middle classification as well....they are fleeing in droves...exciting trend, the middle classification, it really is totally small, is migrating to Canada...Why? because Canada's immigration regulations are a lot less demanding to satisfy, than ours....the outcome, Canada is getting all of Mexico's center classification, those actually everyone appears knowledgeable and performance $$$ to make investments....Its a shame quite, because i understand if those immigrants ought to come right here, they might....yet because that our immigration criteria are so restrictive, those human beings do no longer come right here....My husband is from Mexico, and all of his relations has moved to Canada....And better are going there commonly used....in the recommend time, we are receiving Mexico's poverty.... Whats incorrect with Mexico? Its corrupt and perchance if our authorities. would intrude, help its human beings in throwing out the scoundrels, it will be a much better appropriate position....even though it actually advantages our authorities. why? because we personal and take advantage of Mexico's oil (PEMEX) and Mexico relies upon on us for this....We help the corrupt leaders, because they promote us there oil less intense priced on the marketplace and if Mexico grew to develop into independent, that ought to no longer be the case....

The reason is due to economic and social issues. Economically speaking, a migrant worker can make more money here, and bank on the exchange rate of the US dollar to the Peso, than working a similar job there. Other reasons are education-- or lack thereof for the very poor, and you also have to consider the social issue. You don't see folks from the large cities migrating-- mostly the poor farmers/farmhands and indigineous indians that make up the poor.

Cause the crooked Politicians of Mexico are telling the Mexicans to Illegally come to America as well as telling their Citizens that the Southwest still belongs to Mexico (when the U.S. Govt bought the Southwest off Mexico after Mexico lost the Mexican War).

They get paid much more to work in the United States than in Mexico. Our money will also buy more in Mexico. Mexicans can come here and work for a while, save some money, and go home and live like kings.

Mexico is a corrupt country, run by corrupt politicians, voted into office by Mexican citizens.
These are the same Mexican citizens flooding across our border. Hey, I've got an idea... let's give 'em voting rights!!!

Yes Mexico is brainwashing their citizens telling them we stoled their land, they don't tell them we won it in war and paid them 15 million. Remember they don't get a free education parents have to pay and most can't afford it, I think even their history books are corrupt. Plus the Mexican activist and organizations here tell them the same thing. And as usual Mexicans believe it. Their to lazy to look it up for them selves.

I am Mexican and I was born here. They just want a better life. You can't judge unless you've seen what they deal with first hand. I've been 12 times.
