Bush was using scare tactics to grab votes. Karl rove admitted that scaring Americans into a panic would win votes and justify the war in Iraq.
I have often wondered why Bush doesn't mention osama bin laden anymore. Here is the real terrorist who was responsible for the biggest terrorist attack in U.S history. There is evidence that the bin laden family have connections to the Bush family. They have extensive business relations for years.
Maybe he doesn't mention bin laden because he has no interest in capturing him. If by capturing bin laden could bring millions to Bush and Halliburton than you could bet the farm we would have him by now.
Could this be the reason why were in Iraq, to draw attention away from bin laden? Bush said in a speech back in late 2002 "I don't think about bin laden, I don't care were he's at,he's not a big deal to me".
This is how crazy Bush is. His idea is "osama bin laden attacked us, so lets go after Saddam". It's like if your neighbor beats up your wife so you go after your pastor.
The truth is this, Bush and Cheney can make alot more money invading Iraq and grabbing the oil (see Halliburton) and giving out a lucrative fire fighting contract to a firm once run by Cheney than by capturing Osama.
But in fairness to Bush, he has to keep shedding innocent blood or he violates his deal with the devil.

The current administration doesn't talk about its failings. Ever. Really, how many times have we seen somebody admit "Iraq is far more difficult than we thought it would be" or "Oh gee, the WMDs are in North Korea" or "I'm sorry Karl, your continued presence on staff is a threat to the credibility of this administration -- good luck in your next career as a consultant and here's to your multi-million dollar memoirs..." We don't hear it because it makes the leadership look weak, and strong posturing and great photo ops are the only thing the administration really has going for it. (And what was the name of that supreme court nominee that got withdrawn?)

Amusingly enough, Ann Coulter claims that those evil leftists have a "culture of infalibility"...

Because the average American sitting in front of their TV sucking down a beer at night has not yet figured out that IRAQ HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 9/11 OR ATTACKING US!

If he brings it up... they might be reminded that the person responsible for 2,000 American lives is still alive and well and Bush has no intention of going after him!

His search for Bin Laden and all of the supposed WMD's was a complete failure so of course he doesn't want to bring it up anymore. Instead, he is desperately trying to appease his christian/conservative republican base by trying to classify homosexuals as a lower class of citizen by attempting to deny them marriage rights. So I guess "all men are created equal" unless you don't act like a good christian and follow conservative values. That bigot makes me sick. Human rights man!!

Because bin ladin is roaming around Los Angelas in a suit and tie. He's ditched the beard and cut his hair. He now looks somewhat respectable so no one will notice him.

Too embarrasing

Saddam kills his people, Osama kills ours.
Saddam is in jail, Osams is still free.

Cheney and Bush, the world's worst hunters...
