Some come for a better life, and some to take advantage of a chance to just make some money and have some fun. When you think about it there are more doing good things than bad. Would you send them all back home because of the faults of others or would you let them stay?

None of them come for fun. How fun is it to work in construction in the dead of summer, sweating your *** off for 10 hours a day? Sound fun to you? Or how about seeding someones lawn and cutting grass, and planting flowers out in the damn sun for 50 hours a week? Wow that sounds like great fun to me!!! Western Union is on fire, and has been since immigrants starting immigrating here years ago, know why? because that pay check the mexicans got on Monday tues wed thurs or friday is being wired to a bank in Mexico for their wifes, sisters, daughters, sons or grand children to pick it up. Ever walked into a grocery store and saw Mexicans lined up at the customer service desk, they're sending their paychecks to mexico. That's what they come here for. Lets deport all mexicans shall we?? I guess you might as well not go out to dinner anywhere, forget Chili's, or Olive Garden or your favorite barbeque place, because if we deport them all, are you gonna go back there and make your dinner yourself? They make up all our restraunts, and those roads youre driving on to take you to work everyday, are being paved by hard working mexicans because no fat lazy *** american wants to slave out in the hot sun for hours on end. Granted, there's your stereotype mexican, who stares at women, and says things in spanish that you don't understand, but not every mexican is like that. They honestly come here to make a living and LEAVE. They dont' want to stay here. This is foreign to them. it takes time to save up money, and most of them work 40+hours a week. Know why restraunts keep hiring mexicans even tho they are threatened every week by the immigration office, because they come to work, and on time, and work their butts off... Did you know that only 20% of americans come to work on time everyday of the week? Yeah, 20% out of how many millions? I'm not a mexican advocate, I'm just saying, I've been witnessed to what is going on in america and how mexicans are treated, and americans are so SCARED they're gonna come and take their jobs. Give me a break, have you seen an illegal alien becoming a lawyer, or a doctor... please... they take the jobs we DONT WANT..so whats the big deal? Let them come and make some money for their families. More americans are on welfare than anywhere else, because they don't want to work. So you hate Mexicans for wanting to make a better life?

Do you know what it costs to become a LEGAL resident of the United States? Thousands of dollars. I'm not talking about getting a green card and working a job part time and then coming back to Mexico, I'm saying... actually applying at the immigration department, and waiting..not to mention it takes up to 10 years to even get an answer. You all need to read up on your facts. Would you want to wait 10 years to get citizenship, would your kids wait 10 years to eat, because you couldn't get decent money in the country you're living in? They come here for the money. Not to take over our jobs, homes, and land. Get a clue.

Frankly, I could care less. If we become a minority, so be it. Mexicans work harder, and longer than any white folk. I'm white, and I'll tell you what, I wouldn't do half the jobs that mexicans do, for 3 bucks an hour. If you want something done, and DONE right, and not half-assed, then hire a mexican. They are always on time, they always put in more than required, and they always do a great job. Of course there's very few of them, that don't do a good job.. which is like a good portion of americans ( unemployment line is proof enough ). The way I look at it is.. If we can send troops over to IRAQ to make their government more civilized and feed other countries, etc... and all the lovely things we do for 3rd world countries, then by god we should go over to Mexico, and assist them with getting the mexican residents in mexico higher paying jobs. Their jobs over there suck. That's why they all come here. We pay 9,10,11, 12 dollars an hour. If they paid more an hour over in Mexico, we wouldn't have them crossing our borders.

This isn' their country. They are ruining our economy and comitting all sorts of crimes. They need to go home and possibly come back legally. They are illegal aliens.

"Weren't the Europeans the 1st. illegals here?
They killed most all the Indians and polluted the Americas with poverty and violence."

What does this have to do anything with illega immigrants. No the europeans were not illegals.

1) Natives had no law on immigration
2) Europeans came and "immigrated" on land that their HOME COUNTRy owned.
3) If you are white (european descent) and born in USA, you have every right to be here just like the natives.

"natives have been asking that Q for a while"
read points above.
Oh really? I am not an illegal so i don't know what they would be asking.

I wouldn't kick them out. That would hurt. But yes I would send them home.

Why? Because they are ILLEGAL. What part of ILLEGAL don't you understand? In the past there were no immigration laws and it caused major problems which is why we have immigration laws. That's why we have all laws and law enforcement, to correct problems. Do you want problems? If you do just eliminate laws and enforcement.

There are many legal immigrants in the US. They have followed the rules and I have no problems with them. IF you ask legal immigrants how they feel about illegal immigrants you will find they feel much the same way.

This is such a complex issue. It would be desirable to evaluate each illegal immigrant on an individual basis, but is that feasible? I am not sure that is possible. I agree that there are some decent people coming in and they have accomplished a lot since being here, but there are also plenty that have just "sponged" off other people and our government and committed crimes. People can't just stereotype them all as "bad" or "good". There just is no easy answer as I see it, and I don't envy the ones making the decisions regarding this issue. They will not be able to make everyone happy.

If you're an immigrant, it's no problem. If you're an ILLEGAL immigrant, it's a BIG Problem. I don't care why you came to america, if you're bent on doing so illegally, what OTHER laws do you intend to break? Now, I don't percieve all americans to be saints, nor are all foreigners, nor are all criminals of either group. Comma. Nonetheless, we live in a nation of laws. Our citizens, our government officials and their derivatives, and our GUESTS
are all expected to make a good-faith effort to follow those laws.
What's been happening on the immigration issue is that our border's been bum-rushed, and unfortunately, we're already full up on bums. So, my vote is cast for starting to send people home. Do it peacefully, do it civilly, but get it done, and other countries need to review our/their treaties that cover emigration, too. The Government AKA The American Taxpayer's going to be picking up the tab on this one, better to spend it on reinforcing our laws than on encouraging people whose First American Experience is scoffing at them...and that may well mean going through our state legislatures and holding a bunch of recall elections. Let the chips fall where they may on that one, I say...
if our state and national legislators don't 'get it' on this one, then we're doing a really crappy job on election day, and that needs to be changed for the better. Let The People have their say on this one, and then our government types will feel a lot more justified in their actions than just whimsically taking it upon themselves to basically nullify years of past laws, the wars and treaties that helped shape the United States as we see it today, as well as our future. If you weren't born in the US, and didn't get a green card or a visa, time to hit the road. Nothing personal, don't go away mad, just go away. Thanks. We just can't afford to wind up like France. Period.

I would put them on a bus and send them back. illegal is illegal. Would you want a serial Killer or a child rapist sent back to jail where he belongs? Probably. They are not doing good things when they don't pay taxes, drive without insurance, use benfits such as welfare, section 8, EBT food stamps, WIC, medicare and schools. I think they should get legal just like everybody else. That means going through all the citizenship procedures or getting a green card.

If we just allow those who have broken our immigration laws by crossing the border illegally, it will be a spit in the face of every immigrant who has ever come to this country by following the rules.

And what can we expect of anyone who would break our laws in coming here? Could we expect anything different of them once they were allowed to stay?

I would send them back by the tractor trailer loads because they are ruining this country. BUNT, you said that you could not be legal. You should leave. You sound like a young girl trying to argue with no logic at all. You are Mexican which explains why you would chose the cowards way or the criminal way. We don't imagine this is our land. It is my land. My ancestors have always been here and don't tell me you are Native American because you said in another post you were a Mexican. You are not Native American. That is a pathetic and reprehensible thing that Mexicans have gone so low as to lie about. LEAVE MY COUNTRY.

If people could come legally, noone would be illegal!

But gomt says NO. You can't come legally anymore(unless you win the CG lottery!). Not after 1990. You got in, because the laws were welcoming all kinds of people. Your ancestors got citizenship as soon as they got off some boat, for God's sake!
We work hard, I pay taxes, have no criminal record and still your law says NO!
The only people who need to be sent back are all the arrogant lazy as6es who imagine this is their land and don't have to work at all. And you know what they are all LEGAL!
People with criminal record should go, too and again, 99.99% of them are LEGAL!Mostly black!

I would kick them out. The key word you used. ILLEGAL. My ancestors came to this country and got there citizenship. It is the law of the country. It is the basis of our country. The American Dream is the best of the world, but you have to apply yourself and become a legal part of this country for it to happen. Illegal immigrants cause nothing but problems for our socity. My girlfriend got in a car accident with a illegal immigrant. Ruined her car, ruined her back, the mexican just got deported and now she suffers. Thanks. Get a green card.

I would send themout becaus they disregarded our laws and came over unwelcomed.they take jobs americans will work but for much less pay and that makes american workers undesirable for some jobs. If they want a better life they should work to make their country a better p[lace instead of making our worse. HOw would the world be if nobody worked to improve anything, instead just abandoned it and moved on to something else. This world would be pretty shitty with that kind of attitude
