If you blame someone for your failures, do you credit them for your achievements?

That would seem fair. Or if you take responsibility for your failures, then you are entitled to pat yourself on the back for your successes. You can't have it both ways. Although most of us who take responsibility for our failures also realize that our achievements wouldn't be possible without the help, love, and support of others.

Actually, I blame myself for my failures, and give credit to others for my achievements. Without my family, without my teachers, without my friends, I could be and achieve the things I do today.

no , i like to take my own credit but when i make a mistake blame somebody else , that seems to be the american way . i learned this in the corporate world and have been successful so far

I blame no one for may failures. I own them. I work as a nurse on night shift. When we pull through a particularly tough night I always say to my team, "good job!" and thanks. Words that aren't heard in the workplace often enough.
