They should be awarded capital punishment, even in countries where it has been abolished.
By molesting someone you are destroying that persons life, maybe mentally too. Imagine the agony that some victims have to undergo day in and out as long as they are alive when they relive those ghastly moments. Comparatively, killing the perpetrators is a lot more humane.

Yea that's a good idea but for them having the chance to escape which is not likely but could still happen that the government should just take all child molesters and rapists to an island and kill them. That is nasty and I would not have that happen to my kids if I have kids!!!!!! Then with the other prisoners they should be sent to do the chain gang again because more and more people go to prison because they give free meds, free place to stay, free dental and that's not right because us people have to work for a living not get the luxury ride!!!! We should kill the child molesters and rapists while also making the other prisoners work and not give them everything for free!!!!!!
That's how i feel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a child molester is a life sentence whether you are in jail or not.
Those that are released into society (often rehabilitated and no longer a threat to society) are still treated as an outcast and will never be accepted by society again.
A murderer of a child on the other hand has a much more successful ability to be accepted by society after rehabilitation.
So I ask you... is struggling in the outside world a life sentence or not? And what makes a child molester diffent to a murderer? Should we be treating all criminals the same?
Jails are designed to rehabilitate... if you do not think this then you should be promoting capital punishment.

NO, they shouldn't be sentenced to life in prison or even 5 days in prison the poor things. They can't HELP themselves. They just can't stop themselves from molesting little kids. We need to be more understanding of these sexual predators. No, life behind bars for them just isn't right. A public hanging and being stoned while alive is a MUCH better sentence OR, having their eyes pecked out by crows while being hung upside down by their toes. A bullet to the head would be effective, but too quick. Naw, they need to suffer, need to feel intense pain and suffering. They do ruin lives and they won't stop, only death will make these parasites stop hurting our kids. If the liberal left and the ACLU had their way, we'd all have to "embrace" these foul beings. We'd have to "accept their differences and celebrate diversity" Yeah right, I "celebrate" diversity by choosing either the .45 colt, the 44 Smith & Wesson Magnum, the Remington 240 semi-auto or my Sig P229 40. Now THAT diversity!

Death for most rapist (remember Statutory rape, or something could be a 19yo with a 17yo and daddy got mad), and child molester should get life and their records not kept secret from other inmates. Do you know what other prisoners do to rapist and child molesters in prison, almost a guaranteed death sentence.

Well, since the first poster (a Democrat, surprise, surprise) decided to politicize the question, allow me to point out one fact:
The Democrat Party are supporting laws that minimize the length of time molesters spends behind bars,
and support laws that will return voting rights to felons like child molesters.
Do we really want molester felons being allowed to vote??? Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, and most of the Democrat leadership says "YES".
Why? Because convicted felons (like child molesters) overwhelmingly vote for Democrats in elections.

I think child rapists should receive the death penalty. Oklahoma recently passed a law imposing this penalty for repeat offenders. I have written to Arnold here in California asking for a similar law.
No mercy for child rapists.

I think they should be put to death personally. Why should someone like that be given an opportunity to possibly be rehabilitated...that kid that they molest most likely will have major problems for life. Not to mention, as a taxpayer, I'm tired of supporting these scum bags. Besides, they'll do their time and get out and do it again anyway. Kill em...save me some money.

I guess it depends on whether or not you believe in rehabilitation. Is it possible for someone who committed a crime to come to understand why they did it? Is it possible for a former criminal to become a productive member of society? Is it possible that a person can actually learn from a mistake? I think so. Too many people do not. They see punishment as revenge, and that's not what incerceration was intended for.

i strongly feel they should be sentenced to life in prison, 5 to 10 years is not enough for them, when they get relased they can go after somebody elses and then they'll get the years they were to get from the beginning.
