I know of various programs set up by employers or agencies to do so, but those seem to come and go. Is there a permanent set-up way to do so? If so, what's the address or how do I find out where to send things to? And I'm talking about sending it to a generic address to be disseminated as they see fit and NOT to a specific soldier. Thanks!

Go to www.anysoldier.com and they have addresses there. Just remember when making a box, men are not the only ones there. We have female soldiers there and they are in need of "female sanitary items" So many people send things and that is wonderful, but we seem to forget that women are there and they need personal hygiene products.

You could get the address of a Navy ship or a deployed unit and send the box marked "Any service member". It's not hard to get a hold of an address. Do a search for address of US Ships or units.

Why do you want to send to a random servicemember instead of a specific one? Even if you could leave it up to the military to dissiminate as they see fit, it would most likely be dissiminated accourding to the convienience of the beaurocrat in charge not by need. There may be orgs that do this by assigning it for you to someone they believe to be most "needy", but I encourage you to send to someone specific. Stuff is cool, but what our guys really need is love and news from home. If you change your mind go to LEAVESmilitaryministry.org . They can match you with a servicemember whose life you can really impact.
