She is three months old, and is a little over fourteen inches long. I've tried to look up pictures of snakes that are similar to her, but all I can find are sites with snake slang that I'm not familiar with. If anybody else here is a reptile enthusiast, I would appreciate the input.

Hi there, i have 2 turtles and obviously have a tank for them with water heater, filter and uv light. Do you know of anywhere i can get a uv light that can go on a timer or is there such a thing? As sometimes i dont sleep at home (never leave them for longer than 24 hrs) and dont like leaving the light on all the time but also dont like leaving it off for long periods. Any1 know of any such thing as a uv light timer for the tank pls? Thx

I have never owned a reptile but some little green anoles. I would like to get a reptile. I am 15, and am on a teenage budget (little over $300) What animal would u recommend? Would a 55 gallon tank work for every one of these or would some need a bigger tank?

What kind of snake, i am thinking: ball python, corn snake, or boa constrictor (but could the boa live in 55 gallon? I know to put branches and stuff all over.) What snake **if that is it** should i get?

I'm getting two baby box turtles tomorrow. I need to know:
What kind of habitat should I provide?
Glass tank?
What size?
What kind of bedding/floor covering?
How often do I change it?
What food do I feed it?
How often?
Bathing?
Etc.

Please be specific but you don't have to write a book or anything.

Please help.

i think my little baby eastern turtles nail is coming off =/ at first i started to notice a white pus-like ball on the toe of tiny (my turtle). so im thinking its an infection?? my fiance suggested taht its probably just something stuck and to gently clean it off. so i tried it and it seems like his skin!!! like a little ball of his flesh!!! so i just left it alone.. what can i do ??? i cant afford to take him to the vet.... =/ now im starting to think my other little turtle might have bit him .... ? HELLPPP

My bearded dragon has stopped eating for about 4 days now. She sleeps often through the day but she will wake up and go to bask under the light. Is it too early for her to brumate? How can I tell if she is sick? She lives with another bearded dragon who is a boy and he's up and eating like normal. How can I care for her if she is brumating? She doesn't sleep in her hide-box, only on the bark I have for her. Any advice is well appreciated. I'm very worried about her. I took the two dragons in from a really bad environment, and I'm trying by best to get their health back. Please help!

We live in NC eastern Piedmont (central)
This trail area a few weeks ago had posted copperhead sightings but this one wasn't copper colored and the large triangles were distinct. It was about 2 feet and not so wide or skinny. It just lay still in the path with it's head a little raised. We slowly walked behind it to pass it and it just lay still.
I wanted to get closer to study the shape of it's head but I didn't want to push my luck since I was with 2 5yr old girls. I haven't been able to identify it yet - any ideas? TIA!

I just my leopard gecko on Sunday. I took it out sunday and it seemed fine. Then yesterday i took him out and let him crawl on my bed and stuff. Last night my brother tried to pick him up and it turned its head to try to bite him it looked like so that freaked me out. Now today I put gloves on because I was afraid he was going to bite me. And i didn't pick him up because i didnt want to frighten him. so i just pet him while in his cage he turned around fast and hissed at me twice...even if they dont bite im afraid of just they're actions. I wanted a friendly gecko:(...what can i do to change his behavior?

Ok so my sister traded one of our corn snakes for an iguana almost 2 months ago. Then she dumped it on poor me LOL.

I've been keeping it in an uncovered rubbermaid container with sterilized sand and sticks. He'll only eat romaine lettuce. The little dude isn't fond of his enclosure, he roams freely about the house. He gets alone great with my miniature dachshund and cockatiel. It's really cute.

I'm sure I'm breaking several iguana care rules. Can any of you correct me so that mine can live happily and healthily for a long long time? Thanks! :)

I have a yellow bellied slider, red eared slider, diamondback terrepin and painted turtle. They live on my back deck in the summer for natural sunlight. My mom says they don't have to come in till it hits the 40's but I think they should come in when it hits 70. I love my babies and don't want them sick. When should I bring them back in?

i have asked several questions on Iguanas in here, and the more answers I get and the more I read up on it, the more confused I am getting! OK, first of all how to you tell if the Iguana is a boy or girl? I just read that if it is a boy, it has spikes and if it is a girl, it doesnt, the previous owner (who gave it to me for free, cause he was too lazy to care for it) said it was a girl, and it is a green Iguana, it is very very large, but in my opionion it is not a green color, it is a greyish, redish color. and has two bluish circles on each side of it's mouth. Something else that I am confused about, is in a book I got it says lettce is good for it and also tofu and kale, and then I read that this is bad for them because it can do damage to them internaley. Also some one said it is ok, to put them in the bathtb, and to give them a warm shower, but could'nt they breath some of the water in, and get into there lungs? Also she is molting on her spikes on her back. Skin is peeling....

It is 6:39 PM on Monda September 24th, and i've just brought home my new bearded dragon. I had a feeling he was sick when i bought him for 80$ from petland but I wasen't sure. You ask why bring home a sick bearded dragon? ... I'd rather a sick one then healthy because the poor guy didn't do anything to anyone its not his fault it was petland's and i'm here to take care of him. If i don't get him to feel better by wednesday (if he doesn't show as if he's getting better) I'm taking him to a vet.. I have a webcam and AIM for anyone else with aim to see him live and tell me what you think... I pick him up and his eyes are shut the only time he opens them is when i pick him up when he sits in my palm he doesnt move.... I gave him water right when i got home and he acted like he hasen't drank in years.. He ate one mealworm and i tried to feed him a cricket but he just sat there eyes closed.. Hes now sitting right under a basking light and he's been there for about 20 minutes not moving. Help
