At two years old he should still be eating lots of insects and worms. As well as veggies. The wax worms are quite fattening. Try SuperWorms, Crickets, and butterworms. He NEEDS protien and calcium. Beardies ALWAYS eat insects, even in old age, they just don't eat as many. Let him eat what he wants, if he still wants insects, let him. He will slow down on them when he is ready, then he will eat more veggies. He won't stop eating crickets all together.
Check out www.beardeddragon.org for great info on beardies, it is a very informative site. Also, the beautiful dragons site that someone listed above has a great food chart. It will give you a great variety of veggies and insects.

are you saying he wont eat his veggies because he is holding out for crix and wax worms?...if so, he still needs to be fed the crickets, they need the protein from them, just put his veggies and fruits in the dish and leave it in his cage all day until 2 hours before lights out. at 2 years old he should be eating mostly greens, and about 25 or so crickets, silkies, or roaches a week...i would cut out the wax worms completely, if you want to give him a treat once in awhile do a superworm, not as much chitin and easier to digest.

How long have you had him? It could take him a week or so to settle into his new home. Keep offering the vegies and a little fruit (good diet info here: http://www.beautifuldragons.503xtreme.com/home.html
I don't believe in starving them to eat...just give him the crix and waxies for now--try putting the waxies on the salad to entice him.

dont feed him every day or he will beg for food all the time! if he wants food every couple of days you should feed him fresh fruits like watermelon and cantalope along with veggies such as carrots and green beans also feed him mealworms every month as a treat!
Hope I Helped.
