Its a red ear slider about the size of my hand. It says feed it twice a day as much as it can eat in a few minutes. How much should that be? Thanks for your help!

A DAILY serving of food for a turtle is an amount about the same size as its head.

Pellets alone are not a great turtle diet. Mix it up about 1/2 and 1/2 with pellets and assorted live or frozen/thawed 'fish foods' like small fish, shrimp, worms, krill, insects, etc.

As turtles get larger, they start to eat greens- but generally not until they get about 4" long.

Just as it says feed it as much as it will eat at a time. If there are left overs you know it's too much. Also try feeding it leafy greens and small fish like baby guppies....very good for them. Don't worry your slider wont eat too much. They live for like 30 years it's just eating a lot to grow!
