if he is a baby. make sure you provide the right environment. it may also take up to a week or two before he starts to get cofortable with his new surroundings before he eats. sliders need warm (80-90degrees) water to swallow there food, so they need to be fed in water. it is best to feed him separate from his "house". his "house" - the water should be about 80-85 degrees and about 2x the width of his shell in depth. the heat source should get the basking area (dry area) about 90 degrees. be sure to provide good filtration, preferable a canister that sits outside the tank. also provide a UV broad spectrum light that simulates the sun. both the heat and sun light should be on for about 12 hrs a day to simulate what he would get in a natural environment.

the little ones are mostly meat eaters and are stimulated by moving things to eat. bloodworms, brine shrimp, feeder fish, mealworms, small earthworms, crickets etc. good luck!!!

remember if the water is too cold, they think they are going to hibernate or preparing at least for it and stop eating.

Don't worry, he's probably just a little scared from the sudden change in environment. If he doesn't start moving around and eating in a couple days I'd say going to the vet would be your best bet. Best wishes! :)

Probably stress from the move. Make sure his tank is large enough (10 gal/inch of shell), water heater, water filter, Basking heat lamp, UVB bulb made for reptiles and changed every 6 months, variety of diet items. Great care info here:

most baby RES turtles are very lazy so it might take a while before he is active.
Hope I Helped.
