An ordinary timer for household plugs will do the dog, as long as the uv light has a normal household plug on the end. good luck xx

you can get a timer from a hydroponic store. they have timers that turn on and off lights for plants so i'm sure you can use it on the light for your turtles.

also, turtles need a lot of light and heat. if you aren't there often, it may be best to leave the light on for longer periods of time, especially if you can't clean the tank and filter too often. when the turtles bask in the sun, the heat lamp burns off the urea and ammonia that gets in the crevices of their shell from their urine in the water. it also heats them and gives them energy and improves digestion. leave the lamp on for at least 12 hours of the day.

I very own 2 field turtles and a million South American crimson Foot Turtle. Turtles do consume meal worms interior the wild alongside with different exoskeleton bugs and ectra. If there is not any blood on your turtle's stool, this is not any harm for it to consume the meal worms. The skeleton continues to be of the trojan horse that is going by way of your turtles digestive song additionally helps it shop its intestines sparkling, like human beings do while they take better fiber or consume uncooked greens. you additionally can purchase the delicate physique meal worms that haven't any exoskeletons to feed your turtle. the two forms of worms could be stored in a refrigerator and it won't kill them, purely lead them to dormant. you additionally can strengthen meal worms in an excellent field like a 5 gallon fish tank. upload approximately 2 inches of corn meal interior the tank. cut back a uncooked potato in a million/2 and lay the uncovered aspects down on suitable of the corn meal interior the tank. The meal worms consume the corn meal and likewise consume the interior the potatoes as they have the moisture those worms choose. After a mutually as you will see that the meal worms exchange into cacoons and could hatch into small black beetle form bugs. shop the continues to be of the potatoes interior the tank and upload yet another potato cut back open. The beetles will proceed to consume on the interior the potatoes and lay eggs in them. while they hatch, they exchange into meal worms back (small ones problematic to work out). those worms will proceed to consume and strengthen to accepted length meal worms and the technique maintains back. as far as greens, do no longer feed your turtle iceberg lettuce. this might reason diahreea because of the fact this form of lettuce is especially water based. Feed your turtle Romain lettuce, turnip vegetables, peas, pealed carrots (as they have diet ok in them). you additionally can purchse turtle pellets from a puppy keep. those turtle love the pellets that have the quite a few end bring about them. you additionally can get supplementations from the puppy keep to function on its ingredients or in its water. wish this helps :-) organic international rehabilitator for 14 years

I don't know of any with built-in timers if that's what you're asking, but most of the UV bulbs I've had can be used with the regular houshold timers you can pick up at WalMarts, Kmarts, and home improvement stores.

they sell a power strip for this. just like a surge protector for your computer. it has 8 places for plugs. 2 for day 2 for night and then 4 for all time. you can program it by day or weekends or all days and you set the turnon time and turn off time. pretty cool and I use it for that purpose too!! couldn't live without it!! bought it at the pet store
