I want a lizard but don't know what to get. I don't want something that gets large or needs a gigantic terrarium (bigger than a 35 gallon aquarium is a little too big). I would definitely prefer a diurnal lizard, since they are active during the day, but i will settle for something nocturnal. Mostly i just want an entertaining and interesting lizard.

I was thinking about some sort of gecko (such as a crested gecko) or a green anole. Are these good? Any other suggestions?

Thanx for any help!

Please don't say rocks. I keep the turtles in deep water to rocks won't work. Last time my dad used a styrofoam and it got WAY dirty. It had all that nasty stuff sticking on it. Now, my dad wants to use the box that holds eggs. I asked him, why can't he just buy a dock? He said he doesn't want to. Any ideas?

I caught a garter snake in the process of eating a frog. It was in my back yard and will have to be relocated - too much contruction in my hood and there will no longer be habitat for it. About 4 hours after I caught it, it threw up the frog it had swallowed. I'm taking it to a creek down the road tomorrow, what do I do in the mean time?

my pythons eyes turned blue about 6 days ago and have not turned clear yet. Everything I have read about shedding says blue eyes are only supposed to last for 2-3 days. The temp and humidity levels seem to be okay, so i am confused. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be wrong.

Hey,
Just got two new juvie Leopard Geckos. I have been researching Leopard Geckos among other reptiles for over 5 years and don't need lectures about the care. Or anything else for that matter. I have one question and one question only.
Do you think my baby has any type of morph coloring and if so what?
Thanks
-Yexi

I just bought this bearded dragon about a week ago and all he ever eats is mealworms. I have these bearded dragon bites but he doesnt really like those and hardly ever eats them. i believe he wasnt brought up with fruits or greens because he doesnt want to eat them he only eats his worms. my question is, if i keep putting greens and fruits around him will he eventually eat them? hes about 3 years old. i have also seen videos on youtube on dragons eating, and they eat alot compared to mine. Should i give him crickets or pinkies? or what?

the same cage?? We have him in a 75 gallon aquarium now. We just got our younger son a female beardie we named Saphira (the guy at the pet store said he was 95% it was a female). He seemed to think they would be fine together....once she got big enough. She is in a 20 gallon tank for now. Draco is just over 1 year old and Saphira is only about 6 to 8 weeks old. Anyway WE DO NOT WANT TO BREED THEM!! I've seen pictures on sites, calenders, ect with Beardies in the same enclosure. I just want to be sure it will be ok. We were told they will not breed unless we have everything right for them to breed. Is there anyone reading this that has more than one beardie sharing an enclosure??????

I was told that you have to make the enviroment right?? We wanted to get another beardie for our male Draco to have a buddy, and we were told that 2 males would fight and that a female would be fine to put with him, because they won't breed unless everthing is right?? Anyway we don't want to breed them, just want them to have a friend to hang with. Now we have little Saphira, which we think is a female. Can anyone help me with this question???

she at lest 2yrs old,so is he, an not a single egg. WHY, OH ,WHY won't my beardie lay? I have thought several times in the 9 months since I've had the pair that she was gravid but she never laid any eggs. I new to beardies, although I have done my research when first bought the pair. She doesn't care for people, maybe stress caused her not to lay? I give Dragon Dust by T-Rex, says has nutritional value needed for breeding females(growth formula). But maybe I need to give something else too?I feed veggies and crickets and mealworms. I provide light and heat(does not enough heat stop her from laying?) I bought them to breed. Any advce if I can't get them to breed on how much to ask for them if sell them as a pair?(in America?) I starting to think maybe I'm not the right one to have these guys. I paid $250 at an auction, To much or what?

I've noticed that my husbands snake will not eat multicolored rats...I say this because he was eating with no problem when he got him. My husband was buying white mice or rats he snatched them up with no problem. Could it be that hes sick, or my husband should buy him white mice/rats?
