Mountainous portion. That is all the information I care to give because I am not sure who I am talking to. You say you have experience with snakes, but that is relative. I have experience with fireworks, but I probably should not be experimenting with cruise missiles. Stay away from hot snakes or find someone who has worked with them for YEARS to teach you. Timber's (Crotalus horridus) are not a snake to be taken lightly and are definitely not for an amateur snake enthusiast. Take care, be careful, leave the hot snakes alone without proper training and supervision. I am sorry if this sounds preachy, but keeping of venomous reptiles is near and dear to me and is in danger of being made illegal everywhere, therefore we do not need any additional bad press because someone got bit keeping one. Recently there has been bad press of a drunken moron in Oregon sticking an Eastern Diamondback in his mouth. Please learn and go through proper training before attempting to catch, keep, or study venomous snakes.
Thank you.
