Wrong section. Here's a nice site: http://www.rabbit.org/ . But as the other person said, confirm about what the rabit is fed at its previous home, and gradually change it to your convinient diet.

If you get a bunny from a pet store or from a breeder, check with them to see what type of diet the bunnies have been raised on. If the bunny has only been fed pellet food throughout its life, then feeding it greens (such as lettuce, etc.) could upset its stomach and give the bunny diarrhea, which in some cases can be fatal.

Bunnies eat carrots, cabbage, lettuce, and greens, but if you have a pet bunny, you should go to the store and buy the bunny pellets which are complete in nutrition, and just give them a carrot or some lettuce once in a while for a treat. Also have fresh water available.

Bunnies can eat lettuce in fact they love it but most varieties of lettuce are bad for their kidneys and you need to know which varieties are safe to to feed them . Iceberg lettuce causes diarrhea. try Roman lettuce Never feed your rabbits cole family vegetables such as cabbage, kale, kohlrabi, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, or broccoli . They can cause enteritis and possibly causing your bunny to die. Potatoes and corn should also not be fed. Most other fruits & veges are OK and pellets are essential but lettuce you need to be careful with. Also I understand that apple pips and many pip fruit kernels are harmful to bunnies also so remove them before feeding the fruit. Your bunnies may seem OK so far you have been lucky and fluked the right type of lettuce to feed them or they luckily haven't developed enteritis. Those are the safe snack foods you should also feed fresh timothy hay and a high quality bunny food. ( Make sure you check the fat % ) good luck :0) Edit ( I found list of safe things for bunnies to eat here http://www.adoptarabbit.com/articles/packet/abcvegi.html

The number one food for bunnies should be hay. A good grass hay like timothy or orchard grass is best. No alfalfa for adult rabbits. Just a little bit of pellets each day, and fresh vegies. www.rabbit.org for more info.
