ive been cleaning it with a cotton swab. what should i do ?

Did someone drop that poor turtle on the ground?

Take that poor turtle to the vet he could have a broken or crached shell he needs proper care or he could die. Very easy for the to get an infection and be dying before you know it.

Do you have another turtle if so the other turtle might have attacked him or something. what u should do is make sure you don't drop him or let him hit the glass tank with his shell.

It might have soft-shell disease. Is there a lamp in your tank where it can sun itself? (this is for semi aquatic turtles). check up on the breed of your turtle, and make sure you have all the requirements for a healthy one. But, the best thing to do is to take it to the vet.

Bring it to the vet. very difficult to tell what the problem is without describing what kind of turtle it is, its enclosure, its diet, etc. Do it a favor and take it to a professional.

If you cannot see the source of the bleeding, take it to a vet ASAP.
