I was told that you have to make the enviroment right?? We wanted to get another beardie for our male Draco to have a buddy, and we were told that 2 males would fight and that a female would be fine to put with him, because they won't breed unless everthing is right?? Anyway we don't want to breed them, just want them to have a friend to hang with. Now we have little Saphira, which we think is a female. Can anyone help me with this question???

Reptiles tend to be fickle and do, like most fish, need ideal conditions to breed and for the eggs to be viable, hatch, etc. That's not to say it couldn't happen, because they are perfectly capable if one is male and one is female. Good Luck.

Bearded dragons should not be housed together, no matter if they are male/female or other. It causes too much stress as one will always try to dominate and intimidate the other. And males will make the female miserable always trying to breed her, no matter what the conditions (and conditions should always be good--heat/UVB/diet, etc). Saphira needs her own home! Yahoo has an excellent group called Pogona that is free to join. Here are my fave websites:

Depends on the animals. Some might be friends, and some might be friends with benefits, if you get my meaning, ha!

Bearded dragons are often pretty picky breeders, so I'm guessing that you probably won't have little grandbaby dragons running around. But as long as you have one of each sex, there's always a chance.

They will usually mate under any circumstances. You need to get your current one's sex determined and if it's a female then you need to get another female friend for her. Males will fight till death and a male and female will reproduce like no other.

Dim the lights, get some tiny wine glasses, some chocolate dipped strawberries and whipped cream. Hope this helps!
