I read a story about an alligator that stated "Bill Robb, a certified gator trapper, said the reptile measured 6 feet from nose to tail. He said the alligator would be taken to an alligator farm and harvested." What does it mean they take the alligator to the farm and harvest them?

I was walking by a local creek, and saw several clusters of crayfish claws and other gross stuff all stuck together and thought it might be poo of some sort of snake or bird..... or maybe they regurgitated it, i have no clue... i just thought it was interesting and wondered what it was.

1. Are they nocturnal?
2. I have a 65 watt bulb directly under their little house thing. It's on the screen top. Across the tank vertically, i have the heat mat. Too hot? Where do i put the lamp if it's not supposed to go over their food or water?

Small stream municipal lake. Black shell, BIG feet, 2 ft long, 1 ft wide. I always try to yank them off, cause silly objects try to bite if you unhook. Did with this, and didn't see it too well. He must have stayed on bottom, rock bed, 2 to 4 feet deep. Some People here in Missouri kill all turtles in lakes, and carp in streams. Also, leave trash, dead fish, and spoiled bait on docks. I accept the bird do, but human too much. Hope you pull in a big one.

I have a pet tarantula and it has one of those hollow logs in it's aquarium. Well my tarantula burrowed an exit to the back through the substrate and kicked out a whole bunch of substrate out of the front and covered it with webbing.

I know a tarantula is not a reptile, but there is no spider section. So I figured I would go according to pet shop etiquette.

Now is this normal, or do I have a tarantula that is exceptional when it comes to engineering? And if it is normal, what on earth is she doing in there?
