I was walking by a local creek, and saw several clusters of crayfish claws and other gross stuff all stuck together and thought it might be poo of some sort of snake or bird..... or maybe they regurgitated it, i have no clue... i just thought it was interesting and wondered what it was.

Ew, I think you must be right! Okay,being from New York, I'll match your southern cray fish. We have bears here, and they love bird seed. So one day I'm walking across my backyard and I come across this HUGE birdseed LOG. It's the size of a Genoa salami. Gross! Big bear.

Another possiblity if they have them around where you live is river otters (they're in creeks too). On way they locate the dens in my area is to look for areas with lots of crayfish in the scat.

Crawfish shed and it might have been just extra sheddings if it was in the water. But yeah if it wasn't in the water it was probably Raccoon poop.
