My king snake got out once. I look everywhere and couldn't find him so I left his heat mat and light on in his tank and put a heater near his enclosure too. He'd been gone for a week and I'd nearly given up hope. His tank was on a cupboard with drawers in it and one day I needed something from the drawer, low and behold when I went in the drawer, there was Rio coiled in a ball having a chill!! I was so happy and couldn't believe that he was there just beneath his house! You could try that as it worked for me! Hes 6 years old now and doing great!

Most snakes will seek out a hiding place that is secure and damp.
Place damp towels in strategic locations along the walls. The snake probably moves at night, and it is probably dehydrated.
Sooner or later you will find it under a towel, assuming that it is still in the house.
Baiting it with a mouse or basking light will probably not work.
When you find the snake, buy a REAL cage. I suspect you are keeping it in an aquarium with a screen top???

He might not have gotten real far at all- snakes like to find small dark places to curl up & sleep... I had a boa constrictor that liked to get into my stereo speaker, for example....
What will probably happen is you'll hear something rustle: just turn all the noise off for a while...follow the rustling like a FIEND, & suddenly there he is!
He's not going to starve, not for a few months, but he will be thirsty once you finally find him- good luck!

3 months Humm...try under the sand/dirt/folage area that you have. these snakes are big with hiding out for a bit. if not they go for holes in anything and in boxes for darkness. if you have a cat I would get it out of the house NOW. He cant eat the cat but can kill it. Same with a small dog. I used to have a few different kinds of snakes. Have fun looking I know my big boy got out and I feaked and I know you would if you knew what kind of snake it was.

It depends on where you lost him. I heard of a trick once to help you find missing pets. Shake baking powder/soda or any substance like that on your floor at night. The next day there may be tracks in the powder. Follow the powder any maybe you'll find your pet. It may be messy but just use a vacuum to clean up. Good luck

Snakes love and need heat. Try to use his regular basking light to lure him out. Set it up out in the open and turn up the AC or turn down the heat in the rest of the house. Eventually, he'll go for the warm spot!

youi dont, take a frozen feeder and put it in a 1 gal milk jug, place 6 -8 jugs near the "hotspots" (like the fridge and dryer) in the house and check 2 x daily, otherwise he got out right and proper, so TELL THE NEIGHBORS to knock on your door first if they find him
