this is how i have seen it and i would like to know how many others feel the same way as me .

people who intentionally abuse animals or torture them to death should have the same thing done back to them . example - some sicko locks his dogs in a pool that they cant get out of until they starve to death , the owner of the dog should have the exact same thing done to him and let him starve to death
another example - someone skinning an innocent dog alive , the man who did this should be skinned alive also as punishment . these stories made me cringe with disgust , animals feel the same pain as humans do , so why dont people get punished for this ? how can people be so heartless . i wish a tragic violent slow painful death unpon these sickos who do this to these poor innocent animals . who agrees ?

Recently I have been trying to train my mini schnauzer to do his business on command. Which means I have putting him in the crate for an hour every time he doesnt. Like an hour ago I took him to do his business and he did and there was blood that came out too...he seems okay he ate and drank water when i brought him in, then hes just been laying on his bed...not wanting to play like he usually does when you bring him in....should i take him to the vet?

The dog is a Beagle/German shepard mix. I think he just wants to play with the cats, but they want nothing to do with him. One of the cats is 3 years old and has been around a couple dogs before but never one who is they active as this. The other cat is 8 months and has never been around dogs at all.

Hello, I have two male guinea pigs. One is three years old and the other is just over a year. I decided to get the second one after researching and reading that two guinea pigs are better then one. I brought him home 8 months ago, they got along fantasticly but just about a week ago they seem to be annoyed with each other, my older one nips the younger one and then the younger one will rumble past him. Then they will run away chattering their teeth into their igloo. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make them not so annoyed with one another! Thank you

I have 2 Lovebirds, They are very cute & smart!!
I breed hamsters because they are easy to keep & mine are very sweet!!
I have a cat named Olive that gets into EVERYTHING but she won't leave my side when I am sick or sad!!!
I could live without pets- But my world would be much colder without them!!

My BF does not like animals indoors. Grew up pet free.

He keeps telling me its completely weird that I let the cats go in the bathroom with me in the morning. He thinks it is wrong for them to be there when I shower.

I think it is crazy to be bothered by this. I asked if he would feel the same about a goldfish and he said yes. That is plain weird to have an animal in there with you.

They like to be in whatever room I am in...I don't see why it is a problem. They like the steam in the room when the shower is on too.....

He is making me feel like a freak, but I think it is odd that it bothers him???

One of my cats likes to sleep in the bathroom sink. If I forget to close the door at night he freaks out too --- thinks the cat is dirty? My cats are indoor only and super clean.

I've been a cat and dog owner for six or seven years now, I received my first cat as a birthday present from my best friend in third grade, and when we took them home I was told we would need to get them spayed. Well, then I didn't know exactly what that meant, but now that I do I just would like to know people's opinions. I hear people speak about overpopulation of animals because they're not getting spayed or neutered, which naturally means they are mating and having kittens.

So, this may seem odd, but I just wanted views on whether spaying and neutering for a cat or a dog is good for it, the environment etc.

Second part of the question, what about people who say, "You need your cat spayed or neutered so that it won't have kittens and overpopulate the earth!" When they put it that way, it makes animals seem like pests and that they're the ones' who are overpopulating. What about us? We're "overpopulation", so, you wanna be spayed or neutered for overpopulating?

The town i live in recently purchased a "gas chamber" to kill animals with instead of using a humane way to euthenize these animals. I'll include a link to the article so you can read up on the issue some more if you wish.

I have put this question in on home and garden but it doesnt really fit that category so I am trying pets as well?!

A friend minded my bunglow and pets this easter weekend while I was away and told he me that a badger had propelled itself through the air on to my front window.

I didnt really believe him cos the window is at least waist height and I thought he may have been half asleep and maybe it was an owl or something.

Well I was awake last night I hadnt even gone to bed and this tremendous banging began resounding through the bungalow - I thought it was an earthquake - I am deaf so I cant hear noises like a hearing person - but this was tremendous. So I looked out of the front window in time to see the badger propelling himself in the air and shouldering my front window. I thought the window was going to break, but it is strenghthened glass and double glazing.

He did it again and again.

Why is he doing this?

i mean if there wasn't animal testing alot of desieses would still kill thousands of people. animal testing is better than killing other people. do you value the life of a half-brained rabbit who proabbly would have been road kill a long time ago to the life of a person? whould you perfer we use peopple from 3rd world countries, a young child (who is just as innocent as a rabbit or dog), seniors (who are probably someones grandpa or gandma) who don't contribute anything to socioty or people in jail for crimes as petty and small as theft(not saying its bad but would you kill someone for it?) or have been wrongly accused? Is it real bad for a dog or animal who was origionally in the puond and ready to be put down, now living in a lab getting cover girl blush put on its belly just to see if it gets a rash? How many animals hav been saved and haave proved a better purpose in life to save thousands of lives now and many more to come. i know it sounds cold but its the truth.
