this is how i have seen it and i would like to know how many others feel the same way as me .

people who intentionally abuse animals or torture them to death should have the same thing done back to them . example - some sicko locks his dogs in a pool that they cant get out of until they starve to death , the owner of the dog should have the exact same thing done to him and let him starve to death
another example - someone skinning an innocent dog alive , the man who did this should be skinned alive also as punishment . these stories made me cringe with disgust , animals feel the same pain as humans do , so why dont people get punished for this ? how can people be so heartless . i wish a tragic violent slow painful death unpon these sickos who do this to these poor innocent animals . who agrees ?

I COMPLETELY AGREE.

if you can be so horrible to another living thing, you deserve the same thing back. its horrible what some people do to their poor dogs, the dog never did anything. i hate those commercials with them talking about how the dog has been abused, i have to change the channel because i hate seeing the sad dogs and listening to what happened to them.

i wish people weren't so mean to their pets.
and if they are mean, they deserve the same punishment back.

I dont think these people should be killed, but they should have to feel a fraction of what they did to the animal. If they starved an animal to death, they should be forced to go without food for a certain amount of time. Enough so they feel it and are begging for food and can understand the hell they put their animal through. If they skinned a dog alive, maybe they should have something equally painful done to them, so they know the pain that animal felt. Then they should be forced to go to treatment, because anyone who can do that to an animal without feeling any guilt, has SERIOUS mental issues, that need to be addressed. I agree that I get sick every time i hear a story about this kind of extreme animal abuse. These people are obviously total losers, if hurting defenseless animals makes them feel powerful.

I don't believe in "an eye for an eye" type punishments, however, I do believe there should be harsher punishments for animal abuse. From a psychological point of view, if someone would do something to intentionally torture an animal, chances are they wouldn't hesitate to do it to another human either. Many people convicted of violent crimes also have a history of animal abuse. They just have no respect for life, whether it be a domestic animal or a human.

People do the same things to other people, and we don't torture them in the same way that they tortured their victims. For us to punish people the same way that they did to other people and animals, then we are no better than they are. In a civilized world, the only thing you can do is educate, fine and jail people who do these things. Obviously education doesn't work well, cause people don't seem to learn, jail doesn't seem to rehabilitate anyone, and paying a fine basically lets them off scott free..

I believe people get their just rewards eventually. We don't have to torture or or kill them to make them learn or realize anything.. Some where, some time in their life, they will have a day or a time, where they look back and realize that they lost... They will die in a horrible accident, or they will be tortured by a bigger bully then themselves, or they will look back over their life and realize that they wasted their whole life and no one loves them or cares about them... Or they meet with their maker and are judged harshly for all the nasty horrible things that they have done. It's not up to us to torture and to make them pay, eventually they will all pay for all the horrible things they have done.

In the meantime we can only be civilized people and do what we are doing, fining them, jailing them, and barring them from having more pets in the future.

Reading, hearing about, or seeing those things would surely make me ache. Although, do not agree with them being treated the same way. I believe some things should not be done to people are animals at all (even though they are done all of the time). They should surely be punished for what they have done, but in a way that they will have to think about it for the rest of their lives.

I TOTALLY AGREE but it isn't likely to happen and until the laws start getting tougher it's going to keep on happening.
I watch Animal Planet and even after seeing the animal and the abuse that occured, the perpetrator who does get caught and taken to court only gets a slap on the wrist by taking the animal away from them. . . DAH. Some of them have to pay a fine of some piddly amount and rarely do they get REAL jail time.(A few hours to a couple of days. . . if they don't run and can't be found.)
These people need to get jailed, fined, probation and if any other incident happens they need to get a BIGGER fine,BIGGER Jail Sentence,LONGER probation etc. . . This abuse HAS got to STOP! ! ! !
Until the laws start getting tougher, things like this will continue and it only proves what we already know. . . Some people are STUPID JACKASSES! ! ! ! !

Write to your senator or congress-person and tell them to change the laws. Right now in most states, animals and or pets are looked at as property.

I agree with you for the most part. A few hundred thousand less people like these would hardly be missed.

I believe it is wrong and those not caught in life for doing these things will suffer the punishment as well for the afterlife. But then again i don't really like anyone to be hurt but i pretty much agree with you.

There are many many sick people. It would be nice to have harse punishments for animal abuse. But it is not going to happen. The laws won't even protect our children from perverts they surely don't care about the critters.
