I just took my rabbit out of her cage, and I noticed her eye is a little crusty? Well, it looks dry around the edges. And also I noticed the white part of her fur looks dull and looks like it has a yellowish tint to it. I made an appointment for the vet tomorrow just to make sure, but in the meantime can anyone give me any shed of light to what it may be? I also did take a damp paper towel and wiped her eyes and it looks a little better but it still is worrying me. Shes 6 years old, a female and no idea what her size/breed is. I thought she was an English Spot from looking at petfinder but people tell me she isnt. I don't know if her breed has anything to do with it. Also my aunt was told she was a dwarf rabbit but she is HUGE. (she didnt get her from a very good breeder) so I also doubt she is purebred. but that doesnt matter :] Anywho, now that I'm looking at her eye again, it looks a little wet (I dried it after I cleaned it). I also havent had her out in a week due to ..

owners know they need veterinary treatment, but spend their time asking questions on here? If you need to ask, you know there's a problem. Anyone else get up upset that animals are suffering because their owners are too tight to get to the vet?

I have never owned or seen a hamster, but the other day whilst getting very drunk in the pub with me mates the conversation for some unknown reason turned to hamsters. When I told my friends that i have never seen a hamster before they found it extremely funny and started to tell me all about them. For example did you know that hamsters are born with a tale in the back of their throat. Im not too sure whether or not I believe them, its like the time they convinced me that a haggis was a short fat mountain rat with three legs one of which is shorter than the other so that they are able to run around the mountains anti clockwise with out falling over. And they also convinced me that they are only allowed to be hunted one a year and that they run sooo fast they have to be shot and killed using a basoon gun, you know the ones used to kill tigers and elephants.
I would really appreciate some feed back on this to save myself looking stupid again!!
Look forward to hearing from you
Regards

I gave my dog Ol' Roy dog biscuits for a treat. He loved them and they killed him. What about that corporate greed? What about boycotting Chinese products? It's a good idea for many reasons.

Are circus animals abused? Whenever I see a commercial on circuses and I see an elephant sitting on a chair I cringe with horror. Or when a tiger jumps through a hoop of FIRE I just wince at the pity of the poor tiger. However, I have read that they actually don't abuse these animals. Honestly, I'm confused and I don't know anymore! Do people abuse circus animals???

Ok, so my school is having a trip to the circus, and I love animals and I have heard rumors that they really badly abuse animals.
The circus is called Ringling Bros. Circus. Is that circus known for abuse. I have mix-feelings. Like, all my friends are going but I love animals and would not go if they have a record of abusement. But at the same time, i know it will be fun with friends.

i have a horse of 17'2 irish draft x thouroughbred who i want to compete in dresseage. currently he is ridden in a dutch gag either on the snaffle ring or the first gag ring. he is not particuly strong and is very light in the mouth but sometimes he gets abit excited. the gag has a small piece in the middle joining the gag in the center. so i am wondering which snaffle bit to put him in as i want enough control with with him but do not know which one is best to use because he is so large and powerful but i need to have a snaffle inorder to compete on him. can anyone suggest anything?

We recently had about 4 baby bunnies born in our backyard.
Their hole is right on the side of our house.
They just left the hole about 1 week ago if even that.

Today I was on the side yard getting the hose to fill the bird bath up and I looked in the hole and it wasn't empty anymore, there was one of the baby bunnies in it.

It was weird because I hadn't seen any of them really since they left the nest.

So I looked at it for a few moments and saw that it's eyes were kinda half-open/half-closed and it wasn't moving or anything when I made noises.

So I took a twig and I poked it and quickly found out that the baby bunny was dead.

I was trying to figure out how it could've died.

Recently we had a cold-snap the past 2 or 3 nights where it was in the 20s at night. At first I thought that might've been the cause of death, but bunnies are full of fur and made to live outside.

So I was wondering if maybe it was diseased and came back to it's hole to die?

Opinions?
