i'm confused 'cause some vets have told me they do and others that they don't. Do youhave some information about it?

K, both my mares just had a foal! I need a barn name/Reg. name for both of them. The first is a grulla filly by Norfolk Parader out of Catch The Wave [aka: Kola]. The second is a black/white pinto filly by Raidar Parader out of Think of Me [aka: Cheyenne]. I have them both on this web site where you can see pics if that helps! Also, Id like the barn name to be unique! Thanks! ^_^

I bought a welsh pony last fall and he was halter broke and that is it. He was a stallion but I just had him castorated a couple of days ago. I have done lots of ground work with him but he is still nervous. I keep him locked up so I have to catch and touch him every day. He will be good for a few days then he acts like I haven't touched him for days. He is not mean at all and he knows he is to be by me and not run away but you can tell sometimes it takes all he has to stay there and not flee. Some friends have told me to trip him and that might give him a wake up call but I am not sure. I have worked with horses who have never been touched and they were alot better then he is. I like him and he is kind of flashy but if anyone has advice on whether I am waisting my time or if he might come around. He is supposed to be a kids horse, well there is no way I would put my kids on him right now.Oh! Some things like being covered with a tarp he was better than another but he has some issues.

Lol I found this little grey moth outside. I want to feed it- it seems really slow right now.
I heard that if you soak a cottonball in sugar water they'll eat that. I set him on it very gently, but I didn't see his tounge (or whatever that is :) ) come out at all. Help!!!

is it just me or does anyone else think that if you have kept an animal so badly that the poor beast has to be put down that you should NEVER be allowed to keep any animals again? Is it just me? If it is, I don't know what to do next.

I'm writing a speech on the benefits of neutering a pet. I have 2 questions:

1. Are there ANY downsides to neutering? I'd like to have something contrary to work against.

2. Do you think this would be entirely too dull? I know that this is a common subject but my neighbors just abandoned their declawed housecat last weekend to the streets and I'm trying to find it a home. I have a speech due next week and this topic comes to mind.

My parents have - totally out of the blue, bought a fish tank.
So - I'll be getting two fish! (After a good few weeks of water checking/making etc.) :S
Anyway, I've got a couple of names lined up
I was wondering if anyone else has any ideas
Two names for two fish
They can be as unusual or as funny as possible!

A pack of three to four dogs roams through my neighborhood. They've attacked at least one person. They killed some pets. Animal control doesn't show up for at least 24 hours. The police only refer me to animal control. What is the best way to subdue the dogs till animal control arrives?

i bought a male guinea pig from an owner who could not keep it anymore, because of her moving to a new apt. by then, she only had 1 baby left, so i could not buy any brothers/sisters along with him. i read about guinea pigs, and i know that they are social creatures. I want to get him a friend, and I'm also gonna get a new cage, so they can gradually get used to each other, and I'll introduce them to each other slowly. However, i am afraid that even when they are slowly introduced, they will still fight. I'm especially scared if this happens when I'm not at home (i'm a college student). should I get my guinea a male friend and keep them in separate cages? or should I get it a female and keep that in a separate cage as well (i don't want to breed)? i really don't want my little guy to get hurt, but I do want him to have a friend that he can talk to when I'm not around. please help!

I bought my guinea pig Kaytee Soft Sorbent bedding. He keeps kicking the bedding into his food. I have started to give less food into his food bowl, and fill it up more times in one day, just so he can get food without bedding inside. However, even after a few minutes, he somehow keeps getting the bedding into his food bowl+alfalfa hay lil container. is there any way to prevent this? is okay for him to eat food that has bedding in it???

I've got 2 rabbits that need to be fed and watered twice a day, and 3 cats that need to be checked. And a bird to feed and water too. My dogs are going to be boarded. And water the garden in the evening.

I was thinking of offering her $10 per day. She only has to drive across town, but she has to come over twice a day. Is that a reasonable offer?

Hi-can someone give me some links to making homemade dog food and treats. Also, if anyone knows of vitimin and nutrient suppliments I should add to the food I'd appreciate it. I only feed my dogs Nutro Max hard food and milk bones, but I'm very worried. It seems every day there is a new food added to the list.

hello people! i just got a mouse yesterday, my gf got it from the pet shop, i think hes a male. she only got the one, and now, i think he's really lonely! hes always trying to climb the side of the aquarium and he is really bored!lol hes got lots to do! hes got a wheel, toilet paper rolls, ladders, hammock, hay ball thing, food water etc. but he still wants to escape and is not being entertained at all! it will have been about 48 hours since i got him when i go to the petshop again, so do you think i could get another male mouse from the same shop and cage? i feel really sorry for this little fella! my gf bought him for me, and didnt know they liked to live in groups! If you think its too late, do you think it would work if i got a new cage altogether and new equipment!? thank you so much for helping!
