No! Use hay or dried grasses, or buy pet bedding/wood chips at Wal-Mart or other discount store. Hay works well, as they can munch on it as well as use it for bedding.

There is a pine pellet litter than may be used for your guinea pig, also there are pellets made from recycled newspaper that would also work well. Don't buy clay or clumping litter as that stuff is dusty and not only can it block the intestines as one answerer pointed out, but it can also do damage to his respiratory system.

Its not advisable as they sometimes eat it and I have seen quiet a few that have blocked intestines due to eating cat litter!
Best to use shredded paper, hay, straw

NO NO NO!!!!!
it needs wood chip bedding you can get a huge bag of it for real cheap at pet stores and walmart
but cat ltter is not for mice or anything else! it is for cats
