A good idea is to look in your local ad e.g friday ad, and check if there is a car boot sale near you coming up, my friend brought a rabbit hutch at one a few years ago which was nearly new and in perfect condition for about £12 you can get some real bargains at them!
Good luck in finding one, i hope i helped!

Firstly rabbits aren't rodents. - Sorry ! I would suggest looking in the friday add - look online or gumtree New cages cost around 80 pounds - if there a ok size. and runs are about 60. so instead of spending 140 pounds online you can get that for half the price at 70! good luck with the rabbit and i would suggest getting a compainion - though get them nueterd/spayed ! - rabbits need company as they normally live in large groups....

Check the local papers and Craigs list. If you live near Greenville, SC then email me as I have one to give away.
Its pretty easy to make you own with plans from here:
http://www.buildeazy.com/plan_links_rabbithutches.html
However, let me preface that I do not believe in keeping rabbits outdoors permanently. Its great to keep them out there for a few hours so they can see some different sights, but there are dangers to keeping a rabbit permanently outdoors. Rabbits do not tolerate hot weather that well, and never ever in full sun. No matter how well built a hutch is, its always possible for predators (especially raccoons and dogs) to break in.

when you get a hutch, be sure the legs are long enough to keep dogs from getting to them! That has been a problem with ours.. it's cruel if you don't take pains ot make his safe.. they can be such sweet pets! and if you're up to a real treat. try raising them! only takes 32 days for a llitter...! But read up on it... and they can be bred in just a few months.........

Have a look down at your local re-cycle centre, you will probably pick one up for a few quid. Other than that free ad's for your area.

Putting your rabbits outside in the summer is a bad idea. They are very suseptible to heat stroke, flystrike, and predators (cats, dogs, people, birds, foxes, etc.) . Here is a great article.

Advertise on your local Freecycle site. Just type "freecycle" into google to find it. People advertise things they are giving away free and you can also advertise for things that you need.
