As a meat inspector, I see animal slaughter all the time. The first thing I must say is: don't believe everything you read. Groups like PETA tend to bend information to only tell part of what goes on. As an inspector, I monitor every slaughter to ensure that it meet humane slaughter requirements. And if I see anything that deviates from this I stop the production immediately and it gets sent straight to Washington where they take over. Trust me, plants don't want this to happen, so they are willing to follow regulations. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have, just don't rely on illegit sources on the internet.

If the meat isn't kosher, then cows and pigs are conscienceless when the throat is cut of, which is way more 'humane' than the brutal kosher way. Seriously, everyone who eats meat should go to a slaughterhouse and see that it doesn't grow on a plastic dish. I still eat (organic) meat, but at least I've seen it.

no longer real. There are categories of tears and homo sapiens are the only ones who cry tears as an emotional reaction. ALL mammals shed basal tears - tears used for lubrication and to bathe foreign places products from the attention, yet emotional tears - which incorporate hormones unique to emotion-based tears - are shed purely by skill of human beings. that's a stunning tale, yet so is Cinderalla, and there is not any this sort of ingredient as fairy godmothers.

No, they give them a captive bolt from a stun gun. Sorry, but there's no room for last rites in mass production farming.
