Chinchilla are naturally nocturnal. So, you can stay up with him all night and play silly chinchilla games.

To entertain my chinchilla, I give her little chew toys and pet and groom her. Of course, I give her pieces of cardboard and toilet paper/paper towel rolls which I hide hay inside. She loves the homemade toys much more than store bought ones. She also occasionally likes to play with bird toys and store bought chinchilla toys and watch T.V.
Lastly, as a treat, I give her raisins, papaya bits, banana chips and her dust bath.

buy him chew toys to give him something to do so he won't be bored, the kind he has to work at in order to get the treat out ! Give him a exercise wheel ! Mine broke his ! a dust bath is good ! and rasins ! but not to many he'll get fat !!

my chincilla loves dried papya and raisins. i usually give him a dust bath and something to chew on.

i make a chittery sound. and i play my radio all day(when im at school too) so it doesnt feel isolated.
