The Rats Protection League was formed just over 6 weeks ago and already has over 5 million members in the UK alone.
Would you join a charitable organisation receiving fast sums from both government and the lottery fund and help stop the persecution of rats?

One of our horses (mare, 4 yrs old, draft/tb), Fiona, just lost her back end. She is wobbling all over the place. She was perfectly fine yesterday, and today my sister rode her and was riding fine for a couple minutes and then her backend gave out. She started 10 min or so into the ride. She was crossing over, trying to stay up, always falling to the right.
The vet came out and gave steriods. She did have a vaccination yesterday, and we are hoping for the best- an inflammation reaction in the spine, but the vet says possible but unlikely. Vet also thinks possible EPM or Wobbles. I do not know much about wobbles, but with EPM (in the case I know of) it was a slow advancement with stiffness and nuerological signs.
Fiona is falling all over the place, but is in no pain, her front end works fine, and has no nuerological signs. She is in a stall and very pissed about it- her normal behavior.Everything is normal- except her backend.

hi i need help with our pet hamster. i read here that the reason one of the eyes is closed is due to the bedding problem. we have pine bedding.. we have been using it for a while now. she has not posted any problems with it until a few weeks ago. i wanted to look for the bedding that she is used too but the stores here only sell pine ones even petsmart. can u suggest to me what to do with the bedding situation until we get the ones she need? thanks

she can open her eyes if she want. she opens it if i wash it with cloth too. but the eye that is close has a little red spot around the outside of the eye. the other does not. is that a problem. thanks for the feedback.

My cat is about 10 years old. She's just lately started falling out of the windowsill a lot. She'll be just fine, but then fall off.. she shakes it off and jumps back up, but never lands on her feet.

I wouldn't be concerned if it was just every now and then, but it's about ten times a day she does it.

Other than this, she has no other symptoms. Any ideas?

I don't own any rats yet, but at the moment, i have a male mouse. (he is alone because he always beat up his cagemates) i clean the cage every 5-6 days, but he still smells quite a bit. i don't mind, and my mom tolerates it.

when i ask for pet rats, i know that my mom's logic will be something like this - that one little mouse stinks to high heaven, two rats must be ten times as bad!

i am pretty sure that the above statement is untrue, and i would just like some assurances. so, anyone who has kept both male mice and male rats, which animal smells worse?

also, what are some ways to cut down on smells, so that i can bring them up as a counter when my mom brings up her argument?

SHe had them 10 days ago. When they are 3 weeks they will be weened and will be able to leave there mother at around 4 weeks I am guessing.. I do not want to bring them back to the pet shop where I bought my hamster b/c they mix all the sexes togther. That is how I bought mine pregnant:( I don't know what to do. I can not keep them. I already have 3 hamsters. I don't know how many she had, but it looks like more then 5 from what I can see when I see there butts stickin out from under her.

I store pine cones on my front porch and use them to start fires in the fireplace. Rockie (thats what I named him) sneaks in and steals them for the nuts should I report him to the police or trap him and take him to a phsyciatrist ( he's obviously goin' nuts). Suggestions?

OUR DOG CAME IN HEAT THE FIRST OF SEPTEMBER AND WE DECIDED TO WAIT UNTIL SPRING TO BREED HER, THINKING THAT IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE PUPPIES WARM AND EVERYTHING IN THE WINTER. WELL ABOUT TWO MONTHS OR SO AFTER HER HEAT SHE HAD A FALSE PREGNANCY, MILK AND ALL! AND NOW THAT WE ARE READY TO BREED HER SHE IS NOT COMING IN HEAT. IS IT THE FALSE PREGNANCY THAT IS MAKING HER LATE? WHEN CAN I EXPECT IT? I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE PUPPIES! PLEASE HELP!
