My cat is about 10 years old. She's just lately started falling out of the windowsill a lot. She'll be just fine, but then fall off.. she shakes it off and jumps back up, but never lands on her feet.

I wouldn't be concerned if it was just every now and then, but it's about ten times a day she does it.

Other than this, she has no other symptoms. Any ideas?

balance is linked to an animals ears. she might be feeling dizzy because of an ear problem. take her to the vet, she might have an ear infection.

Your cat is getting old. Keep her off the windowsill. Have her ears checked, she may be dizzy from an ear infection.

I have an 11 year old cat who does the same thing. He'll be sitting in our living room window and will start getting wobbly and fall. He has arthritis in his back legs, so any kind of sitting becomes difficult for him after a while.

Maybe your cat has joint pain and sitting for long periods of time becomes uncomfortable.

I'd take her to a vet just to check for any health problems for sure.

i just answered your same question but i'll say what i said. she might be a little overweight and she's getting too big for the windowsill. and you said she's 10 so she might be loosing some strength. i would take her to the vet and see if theres anything you could do about it. otherwise, just make sure she doesn't get up too high so that she falls and breaks a leg or she could kill herself :( which i wouldn't want to happen and i know you wouldn't want that to happen either.

good luck
