The Rats Protection League was formed just over 6 weeks ago and already has over 5 million members in the UK alone.
Would you join a charitable organisation receiving fast sums from both government and the lottery fund and help stop the persecution of rats?

Rats Protection League - not cats protection league. Most Rates are extremely good at killing cats and are therfore worthy of our protection

I have rats... they make great pets and become as much a part of the family as dogs do. They are highly intelligent... I taught mine to do tricks. They are very sociable and family orientated and love human interaction. They are always happy and contrary to popular belief they don't bite.

If the rats protection league comes up wth some good policies on how it intends to perform its duties then I guess its worth supporting. If its just another organisation taking money off people and doing nothing with it then no, it is not to be supported. I'd rather put my money and effort into something else.

Yes I would, I believe that all creatures have the right to be treated humanely, rats are just trying to survive like the rest of us. I am against all animal cruelty and even though I know rats are classified as disease carrying creatures, they still have rights. If money is being donated this should be used to prevent rats from reproducing, this is turn unfortunately but inevitably eradicating them. This could be done the same way people put down rat poison, but a rats version of birth control.

Is that fast sums or vast sums, and sums of what exactly?
I can only presume that you have a real problem with your spelling, and in fact you are referring to the cats protection league and not the rats protection league.

To cats my answer is Yes, to Rats my answer is no, poison the evil disease carrying filthmongers.

Depends on whether we're protecting wild/town rattys, pets rat or lab rats.
Pet/Lab rats yes.
Wild rats prob not, that sounds mean actually, i dont want them to die in horrid way just wouldn't want them running around on my back street.

I seriously hope you are joking. Rats have been known to transmit all kinds of diseases to humans. I know lets save the tapeworm next.
