hi...i've got 2 dwarf hamsters and i have found out that they don't drink water from their water bottle..however, i give them cucumber and apple every day... do these provide them with sufficient supplies of water so they don't dehydrate??? Please i'm desperate and dunno what 2 do... answer soon

i already got 3 already and they all died of wet tail (a sickness) and they had them when i got them, how can i stop that so my new one will not get it and if he already has it,

I am looking for a new exotic pet and it is quite dificult to find one when almost everthing is illegal in California. I want a ferret however i know they are illigal. dose anyone have any ideas? I am looking for a small aniaml, and a mammal. if anyone could please help me it would be a great help and would mean alot.

I dont know how old he is but hes pretty tiny. But if i touch his leg and he squeks. he seems to drag his left leg along, but if i pull it in for him he walks fine. please help me im really worried.

My baby mice are 9 days old, they have a bit of fuzz but are doing great. the mum is an excellent mum. well they seemed old enough that i could clean out the tank, so i took the mum, babies and nesting tissue out and put them in a separate container, then i emptied out everything, making very sure there were no babies in there still and put new litter in. then i put the babies, mum and old nesting tissue back in the box, first in the old nest spot, but she seemed to ignore them there, so i moved them to a small cardboard box that was in there before with the old tissue, and she sits in the corner, or walks over them, but completely ignores them. she has been back to the old nest a few times and in the box a few times but it seems shes lost interest in them and doesnt even notice them anymore. whats going on? have i killed them all by cleaning out the box? will she start looking after them again. help me please.

Ok... I have seen people asking this question over and over again! Are people completely stupid? How many times do people have to tell other people that breeding your pets isnt a good idea?!?!?!? I actually saw a question where someone was asking what to do when a dog goes into labor. The dog was already pregnant!!!!!!!! Don't you think they would have researched that before they started breeding?

Sorry, I am just so irritated by people. Why do people feel the need to so irresponsible?

my hamster died of wet tail and people say that its because the cage isnt clean but i cleaned the cage once a week. but i know it was from wet tail because the area was all nasty and omg. and also why do they freeze up when they die?

I heard from a co-worker that using Febreeze in an area where she kept her birds (not directly spraying at the birds or cages) killed her birds. I have asked around and been told that Febreeze is harmful to small pets.

I use it all the time in my home, dog beds, couches, etc.

I haven't researched Febreeze yet (I do plan on it) or talked to my vet about it, but I was wondering if anyone else had heard of Febreeze being dangerous to animals.

ok my hamster just died a while ago and i dont know if i want to get a hamster again or a guinea pig. alot of people say that guinea pigs are nasty and loud. hamsters are quiet and i want something new. should i get a hamster or guinea pig or hamster?

I had two European Hamsters and i recently go two more younger ones. One of the older ones was sick, his face was puffy looking, his under and back side was wet, and he had white stuff coming from his urethra. His ears looked dry (like dry skin) and he sneezed. Unfortunalty, he passed away this morning. But now the other adult has the same signs and symptoms the old one had. What do I do!!! I don't want this one to pass away too! Please give any advice, knowledge or experiences you have.... Thanks.

How can I get a sloth as a pet? To take home I mean. I didn't think you could have one in the United States but apparently you can... Does anyone know how I would go about doing that?
