Maybe you can have a friend come over everyday to check up on the hamster, feed it, make sure it has water etc.

Or you can call up your dad every night to remind him to check on it!

Good luck!

You're going to have to find someone reliable to look after the hamster. Ask around - especially if you have friends with hamsters. Another thing is to put signs up at the pet shop, or an ad in the paper - you might have to give him to a good home. You don't want to pay someone to hamster-sit for that long. Try and barter a favour from a reliable friend. Maybe you can trade something that is helpful to that friend.

It's good you're thinking about this early. Start asking all your friends, relatives, neighbors, even a teacher to see if anyone can care for your pet while you're gone. Hamsters don't care who cares for them so they can be moved into someone else's home, cage is small, without many problems. Just make sure whoever volunteers knows how to care for a hamster and has reliable caring habits. You might also ask your dad (and mom and any siblings) if they can help find someone to care for your pet, maybe one of your dad's coworkers might be able to look after your little guy.+

You need a friend in your building or maybe somebody from school to hampster sit for you. I would, but we are too far apart. Make sure he's clean as a whistle before you drop him off at the sitters and has three months supply of food. So they don't change feeding. Ask you teacher if you can ask the class about hampster sitting for you. If nobody works out, put a couple ads on the bulletin board. Good Luck.

Give him to a trusted friend. And if he dies don't blame your friend. Hamsters kick the bucket when the wind changes direction no matter how well you care for them. They are fragile animals. If you're lucky, he'll be waiting for you when you come home. Good luck.

Or just give him away to someone you don't know that wants a hamster. A clean break is always a good thing.

Your Dad remebered to feed you , didnt he :)

Maybe you have a friend from school who also has hamsters that could drop in to help look after it ?

If not trust your Dad to remember ... pin a reminder up on the fridge ..

good luck and have a nice summer

leave him with a friend or family member, hamsters don't really care where they are just that they are fed and watered

find one of your friends or family members that you trust to look after him or see if you can find a pet shop that will take him in for that time.

well, find someone to either come to your house and change his cage and feed him, or take him to stay with someone else while your away.
