i just bought 3 and i'm not exactly sure if theres a certain way to do it.

We have a cat and a dog and my mom says that they don't need to go to the vet if their healthy. She doesn't want to waste the money and says it is pointless to have them tell you everything's okay. My cat is about 7 now and she hasn't been to the vet since we first got her. The dog hasn't gone in about 2 years (we got him 3 years ago). Shouldn't they go? Can't they prevent illnesses and give vaccines and such? I would take them myself but I'm 14 and since I can't drive and I don't have the money I'm powerless. I just worry about their health. Am I just overreacting?

I live in Eastern Washington and am looking to acquire a potbellied pig. Although I know of some reputable breeders throughout the country I am looking to find one close to home to avoid the necessity to ship the animal and cause undue stress.
Any breeders in the Spokane/Walla Walla/ Yakima area?

Do your guys scratch themsevles a lot?

Mine is chewing on his hindend quite a bit. Not excessively, but enough. He is 3 months old, I have had him for just over a week, and I just started him on the Ferretone (or whatever that oil skin supplement is called) two days ago. He is on mainly Zupreem ferret food and with a mix of Iams kitten chow and cooked meat.

I gave him a bath today to see if that would help (1st one today) and I think it made him itch more.

I am assuming it is a skin dryness problem, any suggestions on remedying it?

like if you are going to Petsmart or whatever pet store you go to, do you bring your pets along?
If that's the only place i'm going that day, then i usually bring my poodle along with me. does anybody else ever do that? do your pets like it?
oh yah, and does anybody know what all animals are allowed into Petsmart? like besides dogs, and cats? things like ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, etc.. on those little leashes.

I am looking at a used saddle that I might buy. I rode in it today, and it is so comfortable.
The only problem is that it has some minor cracking above the knee pads. Is it possible for these cracks to be repaired by a saddle repair shop? I am going to use the saddle for showing.

I've had a least 10 female hamsters in the past and have never seen bleeding from vagina. Hamster "books" mention nothing of this. She has also been giving off smelly discharge which I think means she is in season. She will be two in May. I just want to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong with her, she seems to be bleeding alot.

What kind of animal do you own? if you have a dog then say what kind of dog it is. same for all the other animals and pets you might have. add some other stuff too. for example:

animal? dog
name? Peanut
girl or boy? boy
favorite toy? ones with squeekers
loves? walking and running outside
hates? when you bug him

and stuff like that. Thank you.

I want to become a vet one day.(a full vet not a tech) I know pretty much everything about animals, love them to death, and have thousands of books. I am trying hard in school, but to get into vet school it says you have to have top notch grades. I make honors (A's and B's) and not High honors. Is that okay? And what are some classes I should be taking and doing good in? Please Help me!
