Does anyone have any tips to share in how to begin riding sidesaddle? This has always facinated me, and I have bought a saddle. Now what?

I ride sidesaddle with my horse for fun in my western saddle, but I don't know how to ride in a sidesaddle correctly. Maybe check in magazines or online. I would try ehow.com. I use that site all the time.

I am not sure but I would start riding in a controled area so in case you fall or the horse is jumpy and nervous you are in a safe place.
I am not sure I would want to ride side saddle. But it would be interesting to learn more about it.
I do not think anyone in our area even trains for it.

i don't know much about sidesaddle but if you're an experienced rider learning another discipline shouldn't be to hard. just find a place to take lessons
