Other - Pets - February 2007

I am getting a mouse or two tomorrow, and I still don't know what to name them! I named my other ones Elephant, Corbin, and Ritz.

PLease don't suggest any "cutesy" names like Squeakers or Cheezer. I will never name my mouse that!

I was thinking:
Wubbles
Hiccup
Pancake and Waffles

Any ideas?

I know the baby bunnies should be seperated from the mother at eight weeks, but when should I take the nest box out of the cage? There is the cage, the nest box, the mother, and the 5 babies in the nest box. They are almost 3 weeks old! Mini rex, thanx!

I've heard that it is bad for people over a certain weight to ride a horse. I guess it hurts the animal's back or something.

I like most people love animals but wanted to know how to get in to the whole animal care profession, i was considering doing a home study animal care course but cant at the moment due to financial difficulties I have also volunteered for the RSPCA does anyone have any other ideas? thanks x

i was looking into getting a ferret but my dad told me no since you have to let them run around the house for about 3 hours a day .. and so im looking for a house pet but nothing like a rat,mouse or hamster .. and i would love to have a cat but im allergic .. so does anyone have an opinion on what i should look into?

we have teddy bear hamsters and pet rats we were wondering if they could go in the same cage together without fighting

they rats have a huge cage and the hamsters cage is kida small but we want to put them in the big cage together!!

I recently got 2 rabbits. I've noticed that when they're resting, they tend to shake or vibrate. Is that o.k.? And what dos it mean when a rabbit sniffs you then butts your hand away? If it helps, the rabbits are about 4 months old.
