I had a great Dachsund named Rusty when I was a child and still miss that little dog so much
My maltese dogs were Mo and Flynn. Mo for "Mo Betta Dog" and Flynn for "In like Flynn," because we were supposed to sell her but I just could not give her up and made the woman take back her money ...
Dogs names are kind of personal to each person I think.
My neighbors cat is named Butler. She just doesn't know why but thought it fit him. My friend named her cat Esther which I thought was dumb, but she loves the name and the cat seems content.

I've got a 3 yr old guinea pig who I adopted from another family who no longer wanted her. The family received the guinea pig from another family when the pig was first born. The pig is named Twist. But now I like to call her Tootsie, and my mother calls her Petunia.
