For height it is the Irish Wolf Hound, but the American Mastiff is about the same height with 28 to 35 inches tall at the shoulders.
The American Mastiff male goes from 160 pounds to over 200 pounds. This is probably the biggest dog, it is the biggest I know of. :)

If you have, you have a few days to call up Guinness World Records before they hand over the Largest Dog award to "Hercules", an English Mastiff with a 38-inch neck and 282 pounds of pure dog.
Nine-year-old David DeLauri of Lynn, MA overheard his father talking to the dog's guardian John Flynn earlier this week. The youngster had been reading the Guinness Book and was quick to point out that Hercules is a record-breaker.

The biggest breed of dog is the Great Dane. When standing on their hind legs, they can be as tall as a full grown man.
