I have a hamster. I would get a hamster because they're actually really affectionate. It would cost like $20 or more for a cage. You have to clean it's cage every week. Make sure that you have a vet. The bedding can last up to a month. Make sure your hamster has plenty of food and toys. If you don't have anything for it to chew on... it can get sick. Make sure it has plenty of water at all times! They can suffocate of heat! They're good at escaping. Make sure you close the cage tight. I would suggest that you get a hamster book at PetsMart. You can train your hamster, but be careful! They can get really stressed out at times. The best place to get your hamster is at PetsMart. They train their hamsters not to bite. Don't get your hamsters at Meijers though. They can get really aggressive. Never get 2 hamsters in the same cage. I have an experience, they eat each other. And if hamster's have babies, take the dad out because he eats the babies. Anyway... It's a BIG responsibility.

No, it really is not any longer conceivable. That 0.5 mouse hamster toddler is gonna finally end up start defects with 2 heads a million eye 5 tails and prefer 30 ft. So acceptable wager is get yet another hamster and yet another mouse and observe what takes position.

I think that a cage, bed, food, container, water bottle, toys, and food cost fairly the same price but I think that you should get a hamster because rats have a poisonous tail and hamsters are cuter and more friendly, besides if you had a girlfriend she would not like your house girls hate rats.

well I think a mouse is cheaper but a hamster is a more friendly pet that you can take out. We use to have a mouse that we couldn't let out because they are good at escaping and they bite. Starting off a lot of animals are a little costly. When I got my chamelon it cost 73 dollars and the reptile was only 7 dollars.

get a hamster. they're cuter. ( also, girls don't like mice, so don't expect them to want to come over to your house ).

a good quality cage will probably cost you about $30-$40.
a bag of the bedding will cost you like $12.
food bowl is about $4.
water bottle = $5.
toys = $10
food = $15

TOTAL = about $80.

I've found that hamsters are mean & like to bite. I had a pet mouse & he was wonderful, cute & loved to be held. As for the cost, PetSmart.com can answer that.
