Hey, My fiance has always had this crazy idea of owning a pet monkey. he has found a good breeder and everything and all he needs to know is that it is ok with me. I have never known anyone with pet monkies and would like to know if they make good pets. how hard are they to care for? what are the pros and cons of owning one? anyone have any comments?

Ok, Check it out, when we moved into this house, there wuz a tiny little spider that looked like a daddy long leg spider, i told my mom that even though its not that dangerous, we shouldn't keep it in the house, she doesn't want to listen to me, so she wants to keep it as a pet......is this a good idea?......

I have done horse riding since i was 8 years old and im 16 now. I love horses and being around them. But even though horse riding is as much part of me as my name, i seem to have lost all the intrest and passion i used to have for it. But for the past year i have ben very bored in my lessons, doing more or less the same stuff over and over again. I mean, i think ive learnt most of the stuff i can learn in riding lessons and if i want to go any further, i would have to get my own horse. The only problem is, i live in the city and in order to care for a horse of my own, i would have to go to the stables every day, my life style just doesnt allow that right now. It would not be fair to the horse.

Has this ever happend to any other horsey people out there, cos i dont know if this is just one of those teenage phases ; ) or if i should pay attention or not. Just want some ppl's opinions. thanx!

I have had them from an earley age. But they are completely UNTAME they are scared to DEATH of me!!!! If i am in the room they freak-out and stand frozen with fear( then run away if i move closer). If i hold them they get so scared they try to jump \bite\ect.
I have tryed sticking my hand in the cage but they dont come to me they just run or try to chew on me! i can some-times feed them a sunflower seed from my hand but after they get it they run to the "nest" , eat , then sit in a fearful way. I havent done anythng to scare them. I am afriad i may drop one or something. please give me taming tips.... for real , please dont post stupid answers beacause i WILL report abuse if you do!!!!

p.s i have been "trying" to tame them for 3 weeks and they just dont seem to get any better

p.s.s melodramatic means you are overly dramatic over small things

He came with the name Spur, and he is a black and white paint gelding and is about 16 hands and is stocky and sweet. I was thinking about Spur of the Moment or Big Man on Campus.
Any ideas? I need something that sounds good as it is announced and fits him well.

My fiance and I are looking into rats. He loves them, but I am not a huge fan. I was wondering how others out have delt with rats and how they are as pets.

We have two hampsters now and they are alright. I don't mind the hampsters, but rats... I think it has to do with pervious appearences ingrained into my mind of how slimey and disease spreading rats are.

last night I was surprised to see a kit inside the cage. The mother is not taking care of it. No nest etc. I checked her stomach to see if there are babies still there and there are. I now left her alone and put some newspaper to cover the floor. She ripped those newspapers and is making a nest but until now she still hasn't given birth to the other babies. What should I do?
