You could bathe a hamster but shouldn't! It will be hard to keep control of the hamster as the hamster will fight the bath. There is a very good chance that it could accidentally inhale some water and drown. There's no reason to take that risk. If the hamster happens to have gotten dirty from something then use a wet cloth to clean it up. If you feel you need to add some soap or shampoo to the cloth then use a tiny dab of baby shampoo that won't hurt him if it gets in his eyes and be okay if ingested.
If his fur is looking a little clumpy or greasy, there's a trick we show breeders use. We take a very small amount of baby powder and rub it into their fur. Then use a baby brush to smooth their coats out. If the hamster is longhaired and has any mats then carefully cut them out.

No. Hamsters should NEVER have baths and can die as the result on one. The ONLY circumstances when they should ever have them is if it is absolutely necessary, ie they are covered in something, but even then they should only be wiped with a damp cloth and dried really really well. Please do not bath your hamster, they are very good at cleaning themselves :)

A rly, rly bad idea, like cats, hamsters spend so much time and effort keeping their fur clean and insulated and water undos all their hard work, you would get annoyed to if you just cleaned yourself up and then got it all ruined!! If you have a long haired teddy bear hamster, you would need a clean but not very wet toothbrush and brush its fur once in a while. Otherwise your hamster should clean itself. If they still smell dirty, it might mean you have to clean their cage more often, once a week normally.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. The can get a respiratory infection. Then you'll have to take it to the vets for antibiotics and you'll be lucky if the bath doesn't kill it. Instead get the sand bath used for chinchillas. They love it, ours do. Is yours a Syrian (large) hamster? They are desert animals and are used to taking sand baths. I have presently 23 Syrian and Russian hamsters and would NEVER consider a bath for any of mine.

Well, you're not suppose to, but I have given mine a bath. She didn't like it, but she was getting kinda stinky. I would bathe her in the bathroom sink. I'd fill the sink with a little bit of warm water, put her in, get her wet, take some liquid foaming hand soap and wash her very quickly. I would rinse her off and wrap her in a towel. I would lightly rub her with a towel to dry her off. Sometimes I would put her in her clean cage and she would dry herself off. Then I'd give her lots of treats to make her feel better. I had her for 3 years and I probably bathed her 6 times during her life. She never got sick from it. She died of old age.

Well, my definite answer is no. See the reason for that is simple because their little bodies, cannot take any type of high water pressure because they are sooooooo little. I am not sure of the exact hamster cleaner but you can ask an employee at your local pet store.

yea you can, but you have to be careful since they are pretty fragile. Make sure you place them in a warm environment on completion of the bath to ensure that they do not catch a cold. PS remember they are not dogs.
