Any glycerin bar of scented soap made for humans and bought on sale in a three to six pack will be great for horse tail hair and mane ! Dissolved in a bucket of heated water will be much cheaper in long and be more gentle in case splashed in eyes.

Hair fullness comes from any humans conditioner. I like to use on my horses tail brand: Agree by Schwarzskopf & DEP from Los Angeles California. Agree gets down to the roots and fluffs up tail, also leaves a super lustrous shine. This conditioner has a bunch of vitamins and be so low priced. A huge pump bottle of 32 fluid oz. Available at Kmart.

I have used the "Mane & Tail" product and had some luck with it. Some of the best stuff I have found is the Suave shampoos and condtioners. They are cheap (you can shampoo and condition 3 horses for about $2.00) , work the same as the expensive horse shampoos, and can add fullness to a tail. We have 7 show horses, so I have spent a lot of time bathing and grooming and have found that expensive or the newest "in product" does not always work as well as advertised.

If you're looking to regrow a sparse tail, one of the best things you can do is condition it with either Quic Condition 1 or 2 (or something else similar), braid it, and then bag it for most of the winter. I know it's later in the season now, but it's still worth a shot. My friend's TB had the thinnest tail you'd ever seen. She conditioned, braided, and bagged it from November to almost April, and when she took it out, his tail was much thicker and much more healthy. You have to take care to reapply the conditioner every now and then and give the tail a few days to breathe so it won't break. And you don't have to go out and buy one of those specially made tail bags, either. We usually take an old pair of sheets and rip and tie them to create three tubes (one for each section of the tail). I know some Quarter Horse and Arab people who do the same thing, but they use socks instead of tail bags or sheets.

"Mane and Tail" is a good, general, cheaper horse shampoo and conditioner. People can use it also...... At Dollar General you can get it, lol. My dad used it for a while on his hair, and I also use it for my horse and dog.

i've got used it. It replace into incredibly good. it is nice high quality for the cost, and the extensive bottles that's presented in replace into super for my very finished, very long hair. in case you have very long hair its an extremely good fee, and horses do have long hair, so its made for the subject concerns with dry ends and so on we long haired human beings have. i'd get the extensive bottles meant for horses in case you will get it. I at the instant use the two Neutragena triple moisture or Garnier Fructise 3 minute restore as each and on a daily basis conditioners, and the main inexpensive shampoo i can get (oftentimes VO5). i prefer the restore conditioners just to sweep my hair whilst its moist. it is so dry it tangles easily, and for a mutually as I used to tear out a ton of it in basic terms attempting to sweep my hair. I nonetheless have a super sort of frizz, yet i can even comb my hair whilst moist now! WOW!

I use Mane & Tail on my horse, and condition with Cowboy Magic.

Both work wonders for us!
Good luck.

you can get a product called "Hoof and mane" at Walmart. It was originally a shampoo and conditioner for horses. It is a very good product. You can find it in the shampoo and conditioner isle. You can get a large bottle of both shampoo and conditioner for less thant 10.00.
