Because they are mean. Mean people suck. It's not acceptable in our society & I care & so does the ASPCA.

Not all people are mean and uncaring to animals.Today more people treat there animals like members of the family than ever before.They spend almost as much on there animals at the vets as we do the DR. There are still those who are mean.There is something wrong with the character of someone who does not like animals.Our laws should be stiffer on animal abusers..We should also get a tax break for taking care of the animals.The law says we have to do this and we have to do that when we care for our pets.And if the law is going to make laws for there care,then we also need a tax break.I have a lot of four leg family,It cost a lot to feed them...Give me a break..

Those type of people are stupid. Animals are great creatures that should have the same amount of respect as humans do. The ASPCA is doing a lot of things to help the cause, but it's just not enough to get everybody to stop. Most people just don't get it. But a lot of other people give the ASPCA a call to donate money to save animals and give them names and vet care. Those people who care are the ones making a difference in the world. I think that there should be a bigger law that sais anybody caught with their animals underfed and in bad shape should go to jail for 5 years at a minimum. Animals should be respected. God didn't put animals on this earth for people to abuse and kill them for fun. Survival is understandable, entertainment is just flat-out wrong. FIGHT FOR WHAT'S RIGHT!

It is not acceptable and people do care very
much. We have laws to protect animals from
cruelty. It's up to us to report it. I'm afraid , if I
saw someone mistreating an animal, I would
most likely get into trouble. I would take a stick
and mistreat the mistreater.

The worst animal in the universe is the human. They pick on smaller things, like animals to feel superior and good about themselves. I wonder what would happen if those who've been cruel to animals would be punished in the same manner they've treated the animals....

People are @ssholes. They think that animals are a lower life form and don't have the same capabilities of pain that people do. I don't think it's acceptable at all and report people who are abusive or neglectful of their pets. It makes me mad because animals aren't able to speak up for themselves.

Helo - Mean people r sick, twisted if U will. Remember the stuff Jeffrey Dahmer said he did as a kid. It starts that way & often gets worse unless some thing is done ie educaton. It's unacept able of cors & ther r groups & laws against it.
