I have one almost 100%. What do you think about them? Are they really as scary as we think? Or are they more afriad of us?

My fish is a fantail and it looks bloated. I think its pregnant, but its half swimming upside down and always stays at the bottom of the fish bowl. It rarely eats. I know its not dead because its still moving and all, but sometimes it stays still for a while. How long does it take to lay eggs?

Just wondering. I want to be a vet when i grow up and i want to do some volunteer work not for money but for experience, not like id get money out of volunteer work anyway. So does fostering animals for the local animal shelter count as experience?

My bff who is also my neighbour has a rabbit and i have 2 guinea pigs and her rabbit gets lonely and depressed. So would it be okay if my guinea pigs and her rabbit played together once in a while or would something happen to one of them?

Humane society?

I am going to put an application in to a humane society but I need to know about how long it will be before I know if I can volunteer. Also, I want to know what types of things I will be doing in more detail (link below, either kennel assistant or canine specialist). I really want to work with the animals because I would like to go into a career with dogs (possibly training and opening a shelter). If I have the choice between the two, which would be best (I really don't want to teach any classes but will if absolutely have to)?

I would like to know what types of hay are the most nutritious for my 10 yr old mustang mare. Growing up, my family had horses, but i never really paid attention to what the different kinds of hay were. This is our first horse of our own, and we want her to stay healthy & happy. i've raised my cat from a kitten. he's now six when i brought him home i already had a god. they got along great. sadly my dog has passed. i got a new dog a few months later and my cat absolutly hates the new dog. i don't know what to do to help my cat get along with my new dog. i've had this new dog for 5 months now and my cat wont go near him. they are both fixed. my cat stays on one side of my house and the dog doesn't bother him, but he wont go near the dog. does anyone have anyideas how i can get my cat to be civil with my dog. their vet has told me i shouldn't force the issue and that my cat may never like my dog.

right now we have 28 pigs and one is due any time soon so what should we do with them when they are old enough to be weaned from their mothers (we can not eat them they cost a lot of money) should we keep some of them, put them in a sale/auction or private sale them ???we have them as pets and we love them very much some people have a bunch of cats or dogs but we have a bunch of pigs instead

I got this new rat in a cage. I tried to let him smell my finger and hand. I also pat him gently, but he avoided me whenever I pat him (you should see the funny face he makes when he avoids me). I tried to hold him up but he was so stress that he kept shitting and peeing (sorry for the descriptive language).

Experienced owner: Is there any secret tricks to help make him like me more? He doesn't even seem to be curious at me, unlike other rats I had.

Also, is there any special spot that they like when human pat them? You know, for dogs they like tummy rub, things like this.

Has anyone seen these videos? They are completely disgusting, I couldn't even finish these videos. I honestly think these people should be skinned alive and see how it feels, I mean god it's so gross. In one of the videos you could hear people throwing it up that were recording it, this is sick. I'm just curious if anyone has seen these videos.

i was taking care of my neighbors dog, and i was supposed to give her a ear cleaner for her ear infection, but i accidentaly gave her a nasal spray that looked alot like the ear spray, i think the nasal spray was called novac eq or something, is this going to kill her or anything, i tried to flush her ears out with water, but it didnt really work. PLEASE HELP!!!!!

My sister had 2 hamsters - they mated, had several babies. Eventually the mother ended up eating one of the babies - I've heard of this happening before....buuut: she just found the "kid" hamsters eating the mother's head! Why would the 'kids' eat the mother??? I've never heard of this before..

Alright I was searching around for somet pets, and I came across mice and the sugar gliders but I want to stick to the more average household pet.

I am wondering if anyone knows about a specific breed cat that is miniature, or a miniature dog?? Or even if anyone has an opinion on what they would suggest. I want something that can run arond my house when im home and they wont act out of control, I am basically up for any kind of animal so long as it can handle itself like a dog or a cat. I just want a nice small animal with fur that I ca play with.
