Ok my hamster Daisy I think got pregnant on February 5th and after 16 days they are suppose to give birth right? Well her due date was February 21st. Well now it's past that and she hasn't given birth. She seems all healthy and everything but why hasn't she given birth? ( I don't think she ate them, she still looks pregnant though.) Please help me. Thank You

This is my 2 year old QH Classanova....he was about 23 months old in these pictures. He is going to be used as a pleasure horse, mainly for trails and I have already started his western saddle training (my vet gave me the OK after an exam about a month ago). I would like to eventually do some hunter jumper work with him. I think he has a nice build for it. I will not begin this until much later, once his growth plates have set and my vet gives me the ok, but I just wanted to know, from what you can tell in the pictures, will he be suited for some low level jumps? I'm not really going to be jumping him higher than 3 feet, and I don't show, I just want him to be trained in english and western because I ride both and he is going to be my personal mount. Thanks!

I know that Petsmart is very, very bad, after looking at this video:

http://www.peta.org/feat-petsmart-video.asp

My question is, considering the fact that I have a dog, 2 gerbils, and a betta fish, where do I buy supplies now? I don't want to buy from Petsmart, knowing how bad there conditions are. So how do I not buy from the pet store, but still keep my animals alive?
btw- I have another pet store in my town, and that's it. B&B Pet Stop, in Mobile. They told us that they also have a "backroom", so I know that can't be good. I don't know what pet stores to trust, I don't know where to buy my pet supplies now. I mean what if my gerbils run out of food? I've pledged not to buy from Petsmart, but they need food!! Petsmart, and B&B are bad places, and i don't want to shop there, but I have no choice! I don't have any other pet stores in Mobile, except Bark Avenue Pets, but that place is strictly about dogs.

does this make since to anybody?

how can someone leave there dog in a car when its below zero or scorching hot outside?

how can someone tie up a animal outside all day and night without food, water, and shelter?

why do some people find a lost pet and not even try to find there home?

why do some people think its ok to abuse an animal like that?

its not right! what do you think about the questions im asking about?

I have two dogs that both have insurance but I was just wondering if anyone else thinks that it is insane that pets get better health care than some humans. I mean there are people out there that can not even afford medicine and here my dogs are getting first rate insurance and health care I feel a little guilty.

hi,
when my hamster was a few days away from dieing, he was acting disoriented, active but he would wander around, looking, sniffing, pawing. we didnt know he was dieing.
what i was wondering was : if i would have taken him to the vet, could the vet have done anything to help him, to make him live longer? or was that a natural hamster death?
he died peacefully, by the way.
thanx!

I have 2 gerbils, and they have been using "Critter Powder" for their bathes. We ran out, and went to the pet store, but they didn't have any, so instead the man sold us "Sun Seed Chinchilla Dust", and he told us that gerbils can use it too. is it safe for my gerbils to use chinchilla dust?

thank you for answering :)

Also, when its tail comes off, does it bleed? Our class just got a chinchilla and we are researching it.

Well I'm not sure if he is dieing but he won't really move. If it hold him he will hop. But inside of his cage he just sits there. He won't eat either. He is a tree frog. He is really slimy, slimyer than usual because he drinks way too much water. I want to keep him alive because he is VERY rare and expensive. About 20 grand for this little guy. Does he have diabetes? He is drinking exessive water and has fatigue!

I've noticed that in some places on my ferret's body that he has patches of hair missing. Is this a serious medical condition, or could it be winter time allergies? Please could some one help me out what can I do for this problem I'm very concerned.

For me, I had some beta fish..and those fish seemed to love hearing my voice..and when I would take my guitar and sing..they would come very close to the side of the bowl just to sit and be slightly still and "listen"...I believe that they are very intelligent fish...also I used to have an albino "water puppy" or salamander...and "Leslie"(I don't know if it was a male or female, LOL!) would come up on the glass, and watch me...and not go back down...even after I had fed "him"(for now, I will say him), he would stay with me...and just "listen" for what seemed like a long time!!! LOL! Very sweet little creature! I loved that !

Do you feel that it is unfair for people to breed animals on purpose and sell them for hundreds of dollars when there are so many animals in shelters all suffering at the hand of mankind? They were all wild, free and self-sustaining at one point, till man came, domestisized them and abandoned them.
