I left my guinea pig with someone for two months and she is very sick. We went to late to the vet, and if she gets the surgery, she might die, and if she doesn't, she might die. What do I do?

I've had him for over a week now, but he won't let me hold him. The people at petsmart say wait 1-2 days, but that hasn't worked. He lets me pet him alittle, but that's it. Is there something wrong with him? or is it me?

my horse has a suspected fracture of the pedal bone, i am bringing him to get x-rays. At first i thought he had a bruised sole but there was very little heat in hoof, and after a few days of poulticing there is no sign of infecton, his hoof is now normal temp, but he is lame, especially turning on that hoof. Had a vet (he was usless, thought he was lame on wrong foot), my farrier and a physiothearpist look at him, they said if no improvement bring him for x-rays. now i in state of worry

I have a wonderful 15.5 1000 pound horse that hates water, fly spry and the hose. Every time I try to give him a bath or just cool him down he almost runs me over trying to get away from the hose. We've had to resort to a bucket and sponge because he doesn't freak out when he cant see it. When it come to the fly spray he hates the sound it makes when it comes out of the bottle and the smell. I will put some on my hand and Quickly rub is on his legs, as fast as I can because it takes him a while to notice the smell. I've been working with him but we dont have a round pen or an arena where we are so its hard to do it out in the open. I have no Idea how to get him over his hose "problem" and I could really use some help.

Every night my hamster bites it's cage for no reason because I bought it 4 different types of wooden chew toys. It's not bad for her but the rattle is still annoying.

Last night my little hamster, Elton, was not moving, but sometimes he would shake. This morning I woke up and he was dead. He was healthy 4 days ago...what happened? I am very sad.

Would you shop at a upscale pet store named High Maintenance B itch, or would that name turn you away? There is such a place, and the name has caused some eyebrow-raising.

What do you think? Is the name a clever play on words or just insulting? Too risque for a shop name?

like my dog sometimes gets as hyper as a cat with a teaser toy! it's sooo funny!!! also i have 2 gerbils, they are brothers. when they sleep in a corner(always together), they look like little puppies :) because their ears are layed back, and they are on top of one another, like a pile of gerbils(except there's only 2). it's so cute!

thanks for answering!

I'm currently in a class where we're working with rats. We're encouraged to take them home at the end of the quarter. I'm torn between two rats. One is fairly active, but seems to be nice. Another, however, is extremely docile, and doesn't even squirm or try to jump when he's being held. I really want to take this one home, but I'm almost worried his behavior is abnormal. None of the other rats will sit still for anything. Is this guy a real gem or not?
