Well first you have to spin in a circle. Counterclockwise. Start facing east. Wearing a red sweater. On a blue t-shirt. In a miniskirt. Barefoot. With a blue scarf. Sunglasses. And a sumbrero.
Be sure to have a lot of cheese in your system. This will attract any Pokemon who happen to like cheese. If you are looking to capture Fire-Type Pokemon, do the same, but with salsa. They like that.
Next draw a circle with toothpaste. On your mirror. In your bathroom. Stare at it. For 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 13 seconds. After completing this, flush the toilet three time rapidly. This will unlock the secret city of Wambamshamalam.
make your way through Route 42 to get there. To cross the entire nation. It should only take 40 seconds. Once in Wambamshamalam, head for the building next to the lake. Notice the funny tree? Walk up to it. You'll see that you are standing on top of it! Taking a few more steps forward, you will realize that you have become a two-dimensional blob of pixels!
Then go find some tall grass. You will find that you are also a midget and it goes over your head.
When a pokemon jumps out, accuse it of 'leaving you with all these horrible children!' and you will engage in a battle. The Pokemon will either scream, "THOSE AIN'T MY CHILLEN" or "OHH GURLFREN NO YOU DI'N'T"
Simply shout, "POCKETU MONUSTER" and throw a doughnut at it. :)
It will be delighted by the fatty treat. And shove it's face.
Catch it in a butterfly net, and it should eventually realize it has been captured!

Geez why does everybody here have to be so blunt and not fun? Why can't you have some imagination and creativity like Natsuko? I would suggest buying a Pokeball at Wal-mart.

Pokemon are nothing more then drawings. You could, however, get a dog or cat and name it after your favorite Pokemon.

Why would you want a pokemon?? I mean really (sacarcastically asked of a dumb question) the most you could do with one is use it for fish bait.(a nonsense answer for a nonsense question)
