Well I'm not sure if he is dieing but he won't really move. If it hold him he will hop. But inside of his cage he just sits there. He won't eat either. He is a tree frog. He is really slimy, slimyer than usual because he drinks way too much water. I want to keep him alive because he is VERY rare and expensive. About 20 grand for this little guy. Does he have diabetes? He is drinking exessive water and has fatigue!

Yes! It is extremely rare! I scheduled a vet appointment! There are only about 10 of these animals left in the world! I got mine when there were 1,000 left! And it was very expensive! Now it is work 500 grand I bet! But, currently there is a protection agaisnt them until there are 20,000 of them left in the world. Lots of breeding! They are found in Asia by the way! I caught mine but to make it my official pet I had to pay 20 grand. I'm rich!

Making it offical means having the government letting me keep a caught/wild animal. It must not happen in the USA.

I'm not sure, I have a tree frog too. & most of the time he just sits there, too. Usually, after I have fed him a dozen crickets, it takes him awhile to digest. Tree Frogs are suppose to be slimy, sometimes, he's not slimy at all. I think he's fine. One question, how long have u had urs. I had mine for over 5yrs or so.

Tree frogs can stay a lengthy time period at the same time as they're healthful & dealt with correct, and providing they don't %. up any infections or injuries. My tree frog lately died elderly 19 years previous! If a youthful frog dies ahead, it will be led to by a fungal an infection that it would have picked up from a newly presented puppy, some thing on your hands once you dealt with it without washing your hands with sparkling water first, or you dealt with it too regularly, or it ought to have injured itself & died as a ensuing an infection etc. it really is not any longer conceivable to charm to close without seeing the frog & it really is ecosystem. It appears like you're nicely versed interior the care of the frogs so a recommendations as eating routine & ecosystem pass, so my wager will be that it really is both an harm the frog received at the same time as transferring round it really is enclosure, or that it has picked up an infection of a few type from an exterior source. best of success with your very last animals.

well, from the likes of it, you are a spoiled little brat and you will never be happy in life. i feel really sorry for your tree frog that he is under the care of someone that is so stupid to know that he is very rare and knowing NOTHING about this animal. for the frog's sake, take it to the vet and leave him there so someone with some knowledge can take care of him. i hope you get arrested for harboring an nearly Excitant animal.

Excsessive drinking, apart from diabetes, may indicate kidney failure (at least in mammals, I don't know much about frogs). The only thing you can do is consult a specialised vet, and if he can't help you, let the poor thing die in peace in his cage. And I really wouldn't consider a pet an investment of 20 thousand, I would gladly spend a fortune for my pet in order to keep him alive, but not in order to buy one, because it is really not an investment, since they die eventually. I don't blame people who buy them, but you can't expect him not to die because you paid for him.

I have no idea but it seems if you have 20grand for a frog you should be able to afford a vet visit. Start there.......
